"Y/N?!" Mom was frantically waving her hand in front of my face. "Are you even listening to me?" She sighed, flopping back down onto the sofa and running her left hand through her auburn hair. I smiled, sitting down beside her with a goofy grin on my face. "Of course I am!" We both knew I was lying, but we laughed it off.
"This is a big deal Y/N...You're barely even 18 now you're moving off to Tokyo without your family!" Mom frowned, looking down at her right hand, which was shaking slightly as I held it. "It wont be for long, mom. Karasuno invited me over to study Japanese! Of course its a big deal." Even as I said it, I knew it wasn't exactly what she wanted to hear. It must of been hard, to watch your baby bird leave the nest, but it needed to be done. "I know..." She was crying now, not dramatically, but still crying.
"Hey momma bird, its all gonna be alright." I pulled her in for a tight hug and she smiled into my over sized shirt. "It still smells like your father..." She giggled, but there was sadness behind her eyes as she straightened her back. "He would be so proud of you honey...I just know it." I nodded quietly and pulled her in for one last hug, before walking out the door for the last time for 12 months.
