I woke up in Noya's arms yet again. He was snoring softly, his chest rising and falling at a steady pace. His previously spiked hair fell over his eyes, highlighting his long, dark eyelashes. I was nestled into the crook of his arm, my head on his chest. Thoughts of last night filled my head. Memories of Suga's lips on my own and his hand in mine. My eyes drifted to Noya's peaceful face, the newborn sunlight shone through our makeshift pillow fort onto his face.

What are we?

The thought had never really crossed my mind. Are we best friends? It didn't feel like it. I'm not exactly attracted to him. He's just my best friend... right?

"Mmph." Noya mumbled, pulling me closer into his chest. "Good morning sunshine. What time is it?" My heart nearly fell out of my chest as he spoke.

Maybe he does think it's something else?

"6:58" I smiled, getting up from the pillow fort and rubbing my eyes. My hair was slightly damp from my shower still and the towel was somehow on the other side of the room. "I might go take another shower and you should too. You stink." I grinned, punching his shoulder softly. He shrugged his shoulders with a chuckle and ran his hand through his hair nervously. "Maybe I do." He grinned.

I had a shower and changed into my uniform. My hair stood up around my shoulders, and it was a battle to tame it down. "Aaaargh!" I groaned, flinging the brush across the room, merely half an inch away from Noya's face. "Must you attempt to murder me?" He laughed, picking the brush off the ground beside him. "Yes." I replied curtly, looking in the mirror to fix my eyebrows for what felt like the 103rd time. "What if it's all awkward, Noya Boya?" I sighed, finally convincing myself my makeup was fine as it was. Noya laughed and walked over to me, placing his hands on my shoulders and looking me in the eye. "You're beautiful Y/N, and the only reason for him to make things awkward was if he was stunned into silence." He blushed a bright pink and looked at the ground in shame.

Does he....no. Let's not go there right now, mind.

"Thank you, Kiddo." I smiled, ruffling his messy hair. "Let's get going." We left the apartment, walking down to the carpark. "Why did you get a motorbike anyway?" Noya asked, looking my black 2000 Harley up and down in slight fear. "I dunno. Cheaper than a car, I guess" I smiled, buckling my helmet. I threw the spare helmet over to him. "No more questions, let's go."

We arrived at the school parking lot, chucking our helmets into the back compartment of the bike. I sighed, suddenly the large gray building of Karasuno high seemed threatening. My thoughts were interrupted by Noya. "Hey, I know that face. Breathe girlie. Everything is going to be fine." he whispered. Grabbing his hand in my own. "Thank you." I smiled, giving him a quick hug before he ran off to join Tanaka.

Breathe.

The school bell rang a ferocious sound, it's usual off-key scream ringing into my ears. I flung my bag around both shoulders and walked to the classroom.

"Good morning class." My history teacher Ms. Kang smiled. She was a rather skinny young woman, a little too young to be a teacher. She had short pixie brown hair and simple brown eyes. I liked her, she was kind. "Good morning Miss Kang." The class called back.

The class flew through quickly, the 40 minutes filled my notebook with doodles of Kōushi and I, and last night.

"Psst! Y/N!" I turned around to find the girls volleyball club captain Yui Michimiya smiling sweetly at me from behind. Her eyes sparkled with kindness. She leaned forward and whispered into my ear.

"I hear Kōushi Sugawara is teaching you how to play volleyball." She giggled. Suddenly, I felt her grab my shirt. "You're a hopeless cause. What the hell is he thinking? Tryouts are in two weeks, and you better get your act together by then bitch." Her tone darkened, and her sweet, innocent smile vanished in an instant. I watched as she looked over at Kōushi, who was nose-deep into his textbook. My heart filled with sudden determination.

That bitch isn't putting her filthy paws on  him.

"Oh sweet sweet Yui..." I purred, a smirk carefully playing my lips. "You have no idea." This time, it was I who leaned into her ear. "And if I were you, I'd hold on tightly to that captain position. It would be a shame if you lost it, especially to a 'hopeless cause.'"

Yui let go of my shirt and I grinned with satisfaction. She rolled her eyes and returned to reading her textbook, I did the same.

What the hell was that?  I'm never usually that....malicious? It was the way she looked at him. I wanted to smack that stupid little smirk off her her stupid little face. She's just a stupid little-

"Miss Y/L/N?"

I looked up from my textbook to find Miss Kang starting down at me, a concerned smile across her face. "The bell went three minutes ago, honey. You wouldn't want to be late for that lovely young man waiting for you at the door!" She giggled, helping me tidy my books into my bag. "Oh- Thank you." I blushed, picking my bag off of the floor and running out of the classroom.

"Y/N?" Kōushi was leaning up against the frame of the door. He was holding a small piece of paper in his left hand. "Look at this." He handed it to me.

Snitches get stitches, when you mess with bitches.
