When everyone returned back to class, Mr. Faye began talking about the third years' futures, and colleges.

"I'm sure you all have big plans for the future. Remember that whether it be for college, or work abroad, your decisions play a huge part in who you are." Mr. Faye preached.

I already knew what I wanted to do. I've wanted to do it for the past three years now. I wanted to move far away to study and teach Japanese. In order to do this though, I had to get into this massive collage called JALE. (A/N doesn't sound familiar at all...) Originally, mom didn't agree, and thought that I'd be too anxious away from home. Only two months ago did I manage to convince her to let me book a flight to Japan.

Mr. Faye continued to talk about certain colleges and the qualifications needed. He gestured towards a long list on the board with one hand and pointed at me with the other. "So, Miss. Y/L/N, what are your plans for the future?"

I felt everyone's eyes turn towards me, and I just wanted to sink into my seat and disappear. Sadly, that was impossible.

"I-I um...." I stuttered awkwardly, fumbling with my hair. I saw Sugawara smile over at me, nodding at me to continue. Feeling a sudden burst of confidence, I straightened my back and took a breath.

"I plan to go to Jale, study the Japanese language, and eventually teach it in schools abroad." The words flew out of my mouth with confidence and glee. I could barely recognize myself.

Mr. Faye's eyebrows shot up in surprise. I already knew Jale was a hard school to get into, but I was determined. "Do you have a sport?" He asked, leaning up against the table with a grin.

"A-what-now?" I laughed, fear striking behind my voice. "I don't need a sport to study Japanese." I tried not to sound annoyed at his stupid grin. He stood up straight and crossed his arms.

"No, but in order to get into Jale you need to have at least two extra-curricular activities. Having a sport and being good at it would guarantee you extra points. I would have expected you to know that, Miss Y/L/N... It's near impossible to pick one up before the entrance exams." He looked so smug as he talked, like he enjoyed watching my face slowly drain of color as my hands shook.

"Oh."

That's all I could manage to say? 'Oh'?! It was like my entire world was crumbling down, or a door my dreams had slammed in my face. I felt like I was going to be sick.

The final bell eventually rang after about an hour of me rethinking my entire future. I couldn't wait to go back to my small apartment and binge watch all my favorite anime's.

I was about to get on my motorbike that was parked around the front of the school when suddenly the small ginger boy from lunch jumped on top me me from behind, ruffling my hair. "Heyya Y/N-Chan! I heard about what happened with Mr. Faye today!"

This. Boy.

"Let me guess, news travels fast?" I laughed. He was still clinging to my back, so I let him down softly. "Yeah..." He sighed. "But I have an idea!!!"

At this point, he was nearly screaming in my face. I was slightly disappointed that there was no ball to hit him with this time, so I just let him talk. "I'm on the Karasuno High School volleyball team, right?" He began. I nodded along, my mind flashing back to that silver haired boy telling me about how he was on it too. "But you're so-"

"Small? Yeah. I get that a lot. But I have a jump that can go WHOOSH and POW then BANG and-" He was doing it again. Damn. I miss that ball.

"Yeah yeah get to the point kiddo." I laughed, putting on my bike helmet. I knew whatever he was saying probably wouldn't help me in the slightest but letting him talk wouldn't exactly make anything much worse than it already is.

"I could teach you how to play!" He grinned, punching my shoulder playfully. I wanted to laugh in his face and say it was a stupid idea, but he just looked so....certain.... like when I decided I wanted to go to Jale.

I can't give up yet.... I've been waiting three years for this opportunity to go to Jale. I need to keep going.

"I- uh-" I hesitated. I wouldn't be able to focus properly if he just kept messing around all the time in practice, but I needed the points.
"Okay."
