"We got a runner! Elka, get in there!"

This is what made her feel alive. Day to day scenarios was nothing compared to this. Elka spurred into action, chasing down the man that took the chance of getting away. She raced ahead of the humans that followed, in pursuit.

Elka grabbed the man's arm, pulling him backward. He stumbled but starting swinging as soon as he found his footing. She ducked away from his punches, kicking out to trip him.

"Do not interfere, wait for the androids signal!"

Police officers surrounded the pair, watching as the human tired himself out. Elka ducked under a rogue swing, retaliating with a kick to his stomach. As he doubled over, the android delivered a sharp blow to his head.

Elka grasped his arms tightly behind his back, tightening the metal restraints on his wrists. As soon as he was secure, she waved a hand to the armed men. They quickly moved in, hauling the prisoner to his feet.

"Good work, Elka."

Connor watched her take the prisoner back to the holding cell, earning a quick smile in passing. But the struggling human shifted her attention away from the android.

His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, as the strange sensation returned. Once she left his sight, Connor focused on his objective. He made his way to Lieutenant Anderson's desk, quickly analyzing what he saw.

Moments later, he was joined by the deviant.

"Good morning, Elka."

"Yeah," She murmured. "Waiting on Hank again?"

"Yes, there is a low probability that he will arrive soon."

"Probability, huh? The lieutenant is full of surprises, Connor."

The android cocked his head as if in thought.

"Are you two close? He told me that he gave you your name. Elka."

"He did. Cyberlife insisted that the police department should look at their new models. I was created specifically to work here." Elka explained, the ghost of a smile on her face. "Hank told everyone not to get attached, I guess he made an exception for himself. He's a good friend."

Connor's LED changed to yellow as he smiled at her. Elka wasn't sure if she should be happy about the gesture.

"Cyberlife..." Elka trailed off, unsure. "If they knew.." She tried searching for the right words, before giving up and shaking her head. "Nevermind."

If Cyberlife knew there was a possibility of their prototype being deviant, they'd take him back, disassemble him. It was selfish of her to want him to become like her, but she hated seeing him pushed around without knowing he could retaliate.

Would he even want to?

"Elka! We've got a job for you!"

Elka sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Called on, twice in one day. Calculate the probability of that, Connor."
