Chapter 21

"Mark, I am really hungry," Amy said softly.

"Once you are in the car we will get you something eat, all the chips are gone." I kissed the top of her head. She hasn't eaten a real meal in a couple days, But I only noticed it yesterday.

Sean will be here soon, he talked to a nursing home a city over who only takes in people who are 65 and over and told them EVERYTHING. they are more than happy to take her, we just need for whatever plan he has to get her out of here.

"OH, MY GOD, EVERYONE GET OUT!" A nurse screamed, I stood to my feet to see what was going on but Tyler rushed in before I made it to the door.

"Fire, we need to get out of here." He took the bags as I scooped her up and we ran outside with the rest of the building.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"Yeah, who set a fire?"

" I am hoping not." I looked around and saw the chaos this created, I looked at the other end of the parking lot and saw Sean's car creeping in. I slowly backed up heading towards him, Tyler followed. Once we were far enough away, we bolted to the car, Tyler jumped in the front seat with all of the bags, as I slid into the back seat with Amy on my lap. Sean slowly backed out of the lot making sure no one heard or saw us. once we were out he took off.

"Did you set the fire?" I asked.

"Nope, Evan's sister did." He stopped at a wired placed tree and this woman jumped down from it and ran into the car.

"Officer Mark?" She asked me.

"You must be Linda, I have heard a lot about you." Sean started to drive again.

"Evan said that you can get him in jail for what he did to me?"

"All you have to do is tell the courts what he did and he will go for a very long time, Sean how did you know?"

"I might have been laying behind the couch in the family room."

"Why behind it?"

"I was laying on top of it trying to see if I can balance and I fell, I didn't want to scare you so I didn't move until after you left."

"There are so many questions I have to what you just said," I said laughing.

"Well, before you ask you should call Evan," Tyler said.

"Good point."

I pulled my phone out and put him on speaker.

"Officer Mark, what do I owe this call for?"

"Evan?" Linda asked,

"Holy shit, Linda is that you?"

"He kept his part of the deal, I'm saved."

"Actually it was Officer Sean who got her," I said.

"Officer Sean if you can hear me I owe you my life! Don't worry Officer Mark I will still go with my part of the deal."

"We will get him in jail," I said.

"Thank you, Now it is my turn to take care of my part of the deal. Linda, I will see you very soon. I love you, sis."

"I love you too big bro."

We ended the call.

"Mark, under Tyler's seat is something for Amy."

It took Tyler a little bit from all the bags he had but he was able to hand me a black bag. I opened it,

"Sean, you are the best." I said as I handed her a burger, "There are fries in here as well."
