The rain is pounding down on the windsheild during Yoongi's drive home from work. He's driving home over the speed limit because he knows when this weather comes around Jimin just isn't right, he's worried about him. Yoongi's boyfriend was the most beautiful person in the world according to Yoongi. He loved him so much it ached. The whole drive home he tapped his finger on the wheel imptiently, he just needed to hold him, to make sure he was okay. Yoongi used to think the rain was beautiful, now he hated it. He thought the light grey and clouded skies were wonderful, now he hated those too. He hated anything that triggered Jimin's emotions. Yoongi didn't understand why it made Jimin's mind so clouded, he had gotten Jimin to explain it to him one night cuddled in bed listening to the rain pound on the window. Jimin said it took the light out of things, it made the sky so dark. Jimin needed the light, desperately, for he didn't have much of his own.
Yoongi threw the gear into park and jumped out of his car, holding his brief case over his head to block the heavy rain. He ran up the driveway fiddling his keys, trying to find the right one, when Jimin opened the front door. He was wearing an over sized sweater that was too long on his arms, his eyes were pink and puffy. Yoongi walked in and quicky shut the door behind him, dropping his brief case on the floor and kicking off his wet shoes. He stepped forward and looked at Jimin with sad eyes full of love and care. Jimin jutted out his bottom lip and let his eyes close tight letting a tear drop from his eyelashes. He stepped towards Yoongi and gently wrapped his arms around his waist, letting them rest on the top of his hips. Yoongi raised a hand to pet Jimin's cheek before putting a hand on Jimin's back and pulling upwards, Jimin bounced a little and wrapped his legs around Yoongi's torso, the side of his face still pressed into Yoongi's chest. Yoongi carried him slowly to the bedroom scuffing across the old carpet in their apartment. He gently set Jimin down on the bed and Jimin curled under the covers. Jimin tried to say he was sorry for being this way and he said he didn't know why Yoongi was still with him, 'Why do you love me?' he'd asked and Yoongi answered 'You are more than this Jimin, you are so much more.' Yoongi lifted the blanket and slid under, wrapping his arms around Jimin. He spread his big hands over Jimin's stomach and pulled him in as tight as he could. Yoongi's torso pressed against Jimin's back, legs tangled together. Jimin occasionally shook, an unwelcome sob pushing through his body and tensing his muscles. Yoongi would just hold him tighter. Sometimes Yoongi sang to him as softly as he could, sometimes he whispered sweet promises in his ear. 'Focus on me, don't worry about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow won't come until we make it through today, don't fade away on me baby.' Yoongi would do anything to make Jimin happy. Jimin wasn't always like this, sometimes it was the weather or maybe he had a bad day, but Jimin was a lot more than this. He was the fire in Yoongi's chest and the butterflies in his tummy. He was the beautiful red leaves in autumn and the stars in the sky. Yoongi wished Jimin knew how much he really loved him but there was no series of words good enough to express how he felt. Jimin didn't deserve this, not even a little bit. Yoongi wanted to warm his heart and light a fire inside of him. Jimin would ask him on his worst days 'If you knew then, what you know now, would you still love me?' Yoongi would cry with Jimin on these days because he couldn't find proper words to make Jimin believe how much he cared. 'I am me because of you, I am strong because of you. I know how to love, because of you. Please let me love you.' They would sit cross legged on the bed facing one another, foreheads pressed together and fingers in one anothers hair. 'Let me love you, Jiminie.' He'd plead and Jimin would cry.
