"You can't see stars without darkness"

"The Last Homely House East of the Sea" That is one of the names of Imladris, Rivendell in Western tongue. That is where I lived these last three thousand years. The beginning of the third age in Middle earth was an age full of sorrows and war. People fought and died for something they called peace.

It wasn't peace... I feel the darkness spreading across Middle earth, a dark power is rising.

When I arrived here in Imladris, the Battle of the Gladden Fields had just ended and the Heir of the two kingdoms was killed and the one ring was lost. I remember this time as chaotic and the elves were worried. They had to keep sure, that I, daughter of Manwë and Varda was save for Melkor and his servant Sauron.

But Sauron is defeated.

I sign and put my head in my hands. My head feels heavy. I put a few pieces of my ebony hair behind my ear. I lean back in the chair I'm sitting in and close my eyes. My thoughts are everywhere and I keep losing my focus.

What is the matter with me?

Frustrated I open my eyes again. Why can't I think back, it is like a fog is hanging over my memories. At a sudden I hear a lot of commotion outside. People are given orders and I hear them running away.

'mani sii'(What now) I mutter under my breath. Every day it is here dead quiet and on the day I try to practice my telepathic, there is something happening. I stand up from my chair and walk barefoot out of my room. My silk mint green dress is flowing behind me, just as my long hair does. I love the feeling of my hair in the wind, it makes me feel alive and careless.

I walk towards the courtyard and I see horses being taken care off. Horses I didn't saw before. What is going on?

'Hiril vuin' (My Lady) A voice stops me. I know this voice. The princeling! I turn around and throw my arms around his neck. Legolas chuckles. 'Eleniel!'

'Man ceril?' (What are you doing here?) I ask when I let him go. Legolas is still smiling. 'Didn't Lord Elrond tell you anything?'

'Is there something I should have known off?' Legolas face falls. 'Aphado nin'(Follow me) he orders me and walks into one of the many halls of Imladris.

He takes me to the room where the sword of Narsil lies. Or pieces of it. In the corner of the room a man sits hidden in the shadows, looking towards another man who stand by the plinth the sword is laying on. Legolas stops and pushes me against the wall. He holds his finger for his lips, I have to be quiet. I nod. '-the blade that cut the Ring from Sauron's hand' The man says in awe. He picks up a piece and touches it. I can see he cuts himself. 'Still sharp' He mutters. He looks to the man who is sitting in the corner. 'But no more than a broken heirloom' He tries to replace the blade but it clatters on the floor. The man rushes away, leaving the other man behind. Legolas walks forward. 'Strider' He greets him. The man – Strider- looks up, like he awakens from a dream and a small smile appears on the corners of his mouth.

He is handsome.

'Legolas!' Than he looks at me. His eyes narrow, like he doesn't trust me. 'Man le?'(Who are you?) He asks me. I bow my head lightly and I see that Legolas raises his eyebrow in confusion. 'I'm Eleniel' I reply. 'I have never seen you here before' He states. I chuckle. 'That is because Lord Elrond doesn't show me to a lot of people. I have to remain hidden' Why do I tell him this, this is information that has to remain a secret.

Strider looks at me and then at Legolas. He stands up and bows his head for me. 'Hiril vuin'(My Lady) He look at me one more time and leaves. When I am certain he isn't near anymore I turn to Legolas. 'Who is he? He is dressed like an Elf but he is Human' Legolas nods at my words. 'He is under the protection of Lord Elrond, like you'
