"The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory"

The world before my eyes moves slowly. I hear screaming and swords clattering. It is like a dream, the movements of the Uruks and the men before me are hazy. 'Aragorn! Eleniel!' I hear Gimli yell. It seems so distant. I move my head and I feel a flash of pain in my neck. I see the Ranger slowly coming to his feet, his shocked eyes look at me. 'Eleniel!' He also screams my name. I move my head to the right and try to move. But I can't move my legs. I the corner of my eye I see Gimli jumping of the wall, right in a sea of Uruk-Hai. He fights them off but is soon overpowered. 'Gimli!' I hear Aragorn scream.
Again I try to move my legs. I want to help! I have to help. I move my head wildly but my neck is only hurting more because of this.

'Hado i philinn!' (Hurl the arrows!) I hear Aragorn command and the volley of arrows fells many Uruks, but when they fall dead to the ground, others take their place. Aragorn holds his sword high. 'Herio!' (Charge!)He screams. And the Elves charge the approaching Uruk-Hai. The Uruks are defending themselves with all their might, but the Elves are faster and soon the Uruks fall. I see Aragon reach below the surface of the water, were Gimli fell and he pull him out. He coughs and sputters and Aragorn drags him to somewhere save.

How does the water get here in the first place?

'Eleniel!' I hear him scream again and suddenly I see him standing next to me. His eyes are wide and his face dirty, covert in blood. 'I can't move'

At the moment I speak these words, I see the panic in his eyes grow. 'How did you get here!' Is his replay and sink down on his knees and takes me in his arms. 'My powers' I cough and feel the blood dripping off my lips. In his eyes I see the question burning but before he can ask, the king is yelling Aragorn's name. 'Aragorn! Fall back to the Keep! Get your Men out of there!' In an instant he is back in battle modus and lifts me up, he holds me close with one arm and in the other his sword. I put one arm around his neck for support and in the other also my sword. I feel his chest rumble when he yells his command to the soldiers. 'Na Barad! Na Barad!' (To the Keep! Pull back to the Keep!' He is looking around for anyone who may not have his command and he glances up to the wall. I feel his grip around my tighten. 'Haldir!' He yells. The elf turns around.

'Na barad!' (To the Keep!) Haldir nods and starts fighting his way down. 'What are you doing? What are you stopping for?' I hear Gimli yell in protest as I see that Legolas and another elf carry him of the field. Aragorn rushing towards them, I know he wants me save in the caves. But I can't go back. I have to stay.

I have to fight.

'No' Suddenly Aragorn whispers. He is looking towards the wall again. Haldir is on his knees and an Uruk is behind him, grinning. 'I take her' Legolas is at our side and takes me quick in his arms, jogging towards the caves. Without a word Aragorn is running towards Haldir, fighting his way up the stairs. Just in time Aragorn catches his old friend and Haldir's head falls into Aragorn's arm.

Another kinsman dead.

Aragorn gives him a silent and quick farewell and as a madman he leaps aboard the nearest ladder and rides into the sea of Uruks below.

I close my eyes, not wanting to see him getting hurt.

Or worse.

'How did you get out of the caves?' Legolas asks me suddenly and I open my eyes. We are standing before the opening of the caves, the soldiers are standing before it, defending their women and children to their last breath.

'Open' I whisper and the doors open. 'The power of the Ainur' Legolas whispers and rushes inside. Éowyn is immediately next to us when Legolas lies me on the cold floor. 'Her legs' She whispers.
