"In the end, you have to choose whether or not to trust someone."

After our Victory, The boys and Gandalf and the King are going to pay Saruman a visit. I on the other hand was going back to Edoras with Éowyn and Éomer. The people were happy but also grieving, because many men had died.

I know grief now, when I thought I had lost Aragorn, my fëa had almost left me.

When the cave had opened, the women had sought for their husbands and sons, when they found them, the women cried out in a pain that is indescribable to me.

The women and their children sat down by their fallen father, husband, brother or son and wept.

And now we are back in Edoras and the funeral pyres are going to be lit. There are like hundreds of them. Some have two bodies on them, a father and a son, brothers..

I stand together with Éowyn and Éomer, dressed up in a black dress, still wearing the circlet Éowyn gave me a couple days before. My Ebony hair flows in the strong wind that moves the fires like it is dancing on the pyres.

'Savo hîdh nen gurth' (Have peace in dead) I whisper under my breath. We watch until the moon is high in the nightly sky and the fires go out and leave nothing but ashes. 'Come' Éowyn says and guides my back to the Golden Hall of Meduseld.

The next morning I wake up by the sound of a door that opens. 'Melamin' (My love) He whispers and I hear him move towards my bed. I groan and he chuckles. I feel the bed dip and a warm hand on my shoulder. The fabric of my nightgown is thin and I know I am blushing. 'Aragorn, this isn't proper' I say, trying to be slightly mad at him, what obviously doesn't work. Again he chuckles and moves his arms, so he wraps them around me, he pulls me close. 'Merry and Pippin are with us again. They fought against Saruman together with the Ents. Saruman and Gríma are both dead' He states.

Oh.

I stay quiet and only nod, not knowing what to say. 'So' Aragorn begins.

No, no, no!

I turn my head away. His hand finds my chin and turns my head back to face his. 'Eleniel, please. Gi Melin. That is all you need to know right? I want to know you, to know what happened yesterday' He speaks with a soft voice. The look he gives me. His grey blueish eyes bore into my own dark blue ones. 'I-'I try to speak, to explain. But the words won't come. I swallow and take a deep breath. Aragorn moves one of his arms away and takes my right hand in his. He squeezes. Still I am close to him, he holds me close, so I can't escape. I take a deep breath and look right into his eyes.

The memories of yesterday's events flow through my mind.

'I was afraid, not knowing what was going to happen to you, to us. So I prayed towards my parents. To my father. And they answered. I was with them in Valinor. They explained who I was, what I am. And when I woke up, because I fainted, I could open the cave door with just thinking about it' He squeezes when I stop talking and I take again a deep breath. 'I fought together with Legolas and Gimli, but when I was thrown of the wall, I was injured. You found me, remember?' He nods. 'Legolas brought me back to the cave and again I prayed to my Parents. They healed me and I teleported myself to the Hall of Helm's Deep. When the horses where brought in, I thought of a horse in my mind and there it was' This is all what happened, in short. Aragorn doesn't look surprised or shocked. Or even afraid of me. He only looks at me with love in his eyes. 'I understand now' is all he says and lets go of my hand. I throw my arms around his neck and inhale his scent. His arms find a way around my shoulders and we sit like this for a while.
