Manwë was the eldest of the Ainur - The Ainur, also known as the Holy Ones, are beings encompassing both the Valar and the Maiar. They were the first and mightiest beings created by Eru Ilúvatar in the depths of time before the beginning of the World- When Arda was formed, Manwë was appointed Ruler of Arda, together with his wife Varda, queen of the stars. They live atop Mount Taniquetil in Valinor, the highest mountain of the world. They were happy but when they looked upon Arda and saw the elves and the people who prayed to them, they saw the children who were born.
The king and queen of Valinor didn't have a child to call their own. So they called out to Eru, the creator of all. And he saw their sorrow and pain and gave them a child.
A daughter was born out of Varda's womb. A child made of their own seed, a child made of flesh and light. No darkness was in her. And her names were Eleniel Gilrin Eruanna.
All of the Ainur came to see her. They praised her and gave her gifts. The Ainur gave her beauty, wisdom, bravery and strength. Quality's a queen should have.
But Melkor, the first Dark Lord, heard of the birth and also gifted the child.
He appeared in front of the happy parents and told them that the child shall know darkness and sorrow. That she shall die by the hand of one of his followers and only a king without a crown could save her.
Centuries passed and the child grew into a beautiful women. And at the beginning of the third ages in Middle Earth, her parents knew her time was come to fulfill her destiny. So they said farewell to their only child and they sent her over the sea, to live by Elves when her time was come.
