Chapter 45: Glitter And Pearl Dresses

Rory's P.O.V.

I toss around the bed, still wondering where Logan has gone. It's 1 am and he hasn't returned. I get up out of bed in my gummy bear pajamas and walk out into the living room. I find him sitting on the couch watching T.V.

"Whatcha watchin?" I ask and sit next to him.

"Three's Company."

"A classic."

"Yup." his voice is cold and it sends shivers down my spine.

"I'm sorry about today. I was thrown off guard and I didn't know what to say."

"You said what you meant."

"No not really. I just don't know how to talk about the subject."

"That makes it seem like you don't actually want to marry me."

"Logan of course I do."

"Yet you haven't entertained the idea whatsoever."

"I just don't know how to plan or think about a wedding. I've never had one."

He chuckles and it's a wonderful sound. "I know this, I would be concerned if you have."

"My mom and I talked and we're going to go down to a bridal shop tomorrow."

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah."

"I'm sorry for walking out on you."

"It was completely justified."

"No it wasn't. If we're going to be married I can't just walk away every time we have a disagreement."

"I guess so."

"Forgive me?"

"Of course. Forgive me?"

"Of course."

"Want to go to bed?"

"Yeah, you go ahead, I'll be there in a minute."

"Okay." I give him a quick kiss and walk back to the bedroom.

The next morning I'm up early, Logan is still asleep next to me and I don't want to wake him. So I grab a book and put on some slippers before heading into the living room.

Mom is sitting on the couch drinking a cup of coffee.

"Didn't sleep well either?" she asks.

"Nope."

"Everything okay with Logan?"

"Yeah we're good."

"That's good."

"How was last night with dad?"

"It was alright, no problems with the twins."

"That's good."

"Is there a reason you haven't thought about the wedding?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean if you don't want to get married that's okay."

"No I do."

"Rory."

"I do."

"Okay, you do."

"I just. I don't know. It's weird. We're both so young and I don't know it seems strange to think about myself married."

"Then maybe you shouldn't do it."
