Leo's POV:
It's new year's eve. They tell me it's bitter cold, but that doesn't bother me. I've been hanging around the Winchesters for a month now. A proper hunter is what Dean calls me now. They know my story more or less. Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter, my powers, Festus, and the little things. I still couldn't bring myself to talk about the great prophecy, Gaia, or my other half-blood friends, but I'll get there eventually. In the mean time they introduced me to some of their friends; Claire, Alix, and Jody. We were spending new year's at Jody's place. Their angel friend Castiel would meet up with us there they said. Castiel was the only really important person I hadn't met yet. I'll admit I was nervous. Claire spoke of Castiel with a lot of respect. He seemed to be a father figure of sorts to her.
I was sitting in Jody's living room laughing and talking with Claire when Castiel arrived, "Dean, I hear you got your hands on a Celestial Bronze weapon."
"Nice to see you too, Cas," Dean grumbled.
"Dean," Castiel, a dark haired man with bright blue eyes, grabbed Dean's arm. "Is it true?"
"Cas, relax it's-"
"Dean. It is not fine," Castiel turned his back to me for a brief moment and what an odd sight I saw. "Only demigods use Celestial Bronze, it is not meant for-"
"Dude, what happened to your wings?" I shattered the intense moment.
"Oh my," Castiel breathed as he gawked at me.
"Sorry? What?" Dean looked confused.
"His wings," I repeated. "They look burned, tattered, torn, awful really."
"Demigod," Castiel concluded. "You can see through the mist."
"As in the magic that keeps mortals from seeing the world of gods and monster?" Sam asked.
"Yes," Castiel confirmed. "Demigods are unique in their ability to see both sides of the mist, but this half-blood is particularly clear sighted."
"Thanks?" I didn't know how to respond to that compliment, but maybe I could fix his wings. "Castiel, right?"
"Yes."
"I have some nectar and ambrosia," I pulled it out of my tool belt. "If it would help your wings, you're welcome to have some."
"You would give me such a precious gift?" Castiel squinted at me in confusion. "Who are you?"
"Introductions can wait until your wings are healed, they look painful. Drink, I insist," I held out my flask of nectar out to the angel. Castiel took it, with only a moment's hesitation, drank. His eyes began to glow, followed by the rest of him.
"Close your eyes!" I yelled, quickly closing my own. When the light died I looked back at the angel. He stood tall and straight, wings extended. His plumage, white with black fringes, was glowing ever so slightly. I grinned, "Now that's an angel. Everyone okay?"
"'M good,"Claire coughed lightly.
"I feel alright," Sam affirmed.
"I see white spots, but I'm good," Dean blinked a few times, clearing his eyes sight.
"I'll live," Jody said groggily.
"Same here," Alix nodded.
"Thank you," Castiel handed back the flask.
"No problem," I placed the flask back in my tool belt. Then extended my hand to the angel. "I'm Leo, Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus."
Castiel stumbled back, "You are Leo Valdez? The primordial god slayer?"
