Dean's POV:
Things have settled down a bit from nearly destroying the atmosphere. The officials are still trying to figure out what happened and the citizens of Sioux Falls still aren't allowed to enter the city yet, but other than that the rest of the country/world has calmed down some about the incident. Only took a month. Leo's been up and about, but he's been even more hesitant than usual abot using his powers. He tried lighting a candle the other night and just about roasted my beer bottle on the opposite counter. "After burn," as Leo had called it, was stating things mildly. Once Leo was up and about, Chance began giving us all the silent treatment. Jody said she'd come around but for now she's royally pissed.
Sitting down in the kitchen Sam, Cas, and I were enjoying a nice and quiet breakfast when Leo tumbled in looking panicked, "Have you guys seeen Chance?"
"No," I put my delicious smelling coffee back down on the table reluctantly. "Is the little squirt not in her room?"
"No," Leo panted frantically. "Her armor is missing and so is Egan. I think she went hunting!"
"Why would you say that?" Sam frowned. "Where would she even get a case?"
"Oh come on," Leo began pacing. "She's a smart kid and she's watched us look cases up her whole life! How could she not know how? Plus I found a whole bunch of books in her room about ghost and summoning the dead. I searched the internet and found a couple of cases that looked like hauntings and all the links said that I'd already visited the pages, which I hadn't--"
"Unless Chance stole your laptop," I took a big gulp of coffee finishing the mug and stood. "Well let's go get her."
"The problem is I don't think she's hunting a ghost," Leo explained fretfully. "I think she's taking on a necromancer and she doesn't even realize it! She's not answering my calls and Claire is still busy helping Jody with that goblin case up north--"
"Leo calm down," I instructed. "She has what? A two hour--"
"Twelve hour."
"Twelve hour lead on us at most," That sounded bad to my own ears. "And these cases are--"
"All within four hours of here," Leo paced almost double time. "Which means she could be in serious trouble. I'm taking Festus. He can scan for Egan."
"I'll come with you," I tossed Sammy the keys to Baby and jogged after Leo. "Not a scratch on her Sammy."
Leo barely waited for Festus to fully transform into a dragon or for me to properly get on him when he took to the sky. In the creaky automaton language Festus told Leo who told me that Egan was four hours out by car. I texted Sam the location as I clung onto the dragon's back for dear life. Leo was uncouraging his old friend to fly as fast as he could manage. Necromancers are an ugly sort so I didn't blame him for being worried. Not only did Necromancers raise the dead but they also tended to either be a type of demon or someone who sold their soul to a demon in return for the dark powers. Sometimes Necromancers worked together in packs, which made them even more powerful.
"Hey Leo!" I shouted over the wind whistling in my ears. "Why didn't Egan stop her?"
"What?"
"Why didn't Egan stop her from going hunting?" I yelled. "You programmed him to keep her away from hunting so why is he helping her?"
"I've had my suspicions for a while now!" Leo replied shouting. "But I think Chance figured out how to reprogram Egan."
"She is your sister," I shrugged. "Truly in every way."
"Let's hope not," Leo bent close to Festus to keep warm. "I made some stupid decisions when I was younger."
"Choosing to die for your friends?"
