Leo's POV:

The farm house was a little burned by the time we were done. "Jupiter" hadn't gone quietly per say and he had a few more tricks up his sleeves than we had been prepared for. All the same, he was dead and the cultists were free. Cas, Dean, and I were just hopping back over the fence when I paused considering the farm house behind us.

"Do you think he was lying?" The question tumbled out before I could stop it. "You know, about the Gods?"

"What?" Dean looked back at me frowning. "Lying how?"

"I mean," My throat tightened. "We've never checked to see if any of the previous gods we've killed had navy eyes, have we? What if the Gods really aren't evil and it's just been demons tricking us this whole time?"

Dean looked worried, "I don't know."

"So maybe--"

"But I do know there's a shit ton of powerful immortal things going around saying they are pagan gods," Dean cut me off. "And I know they eat people. You know it too. Now, I've never seen a demon eat a human before. So I'm at a bit of loss right now. Maybe you're right and they aren't gods, maybe you're wrong and they are. We just don't know, right now."

"But it's not impossible to find out," I suggested. "Maybe I'm holding onto a stupid hope, but if there's even the slightest possibilty the Gods aren't evil, I think I owe it to Chance to find out."

"How?"

"Well I'm not going to march up to Olympus, am I?" I scoffed. "Quietly, by invstigate one case at a time. If they're demons, fine. We know what to do with them. If they aren't...we'll handle it as they come."

Chance's POV:

Tia's house is nice and cozy. Her living room is full of books and she keeps many oranately patterned sheets draped over her furniture. I've found they serve as beautiful decorations but also as something to wrap around yourself for comfort without cooking yourself in the Houston heat.

When Leo, Dean, and Castiel got back to the bunker Sam talked to them where he thought I couldn't hear them. For the most part I couldn't, but I did catch snippets of their conversation. Jupiter was dead and something was bothering them about the event. Leo didn't say anything when he came in the library where I was sitting reading more of Aklios's notes in ancient greek. Silently Leo wrapped his arms around my shoulders and held me tightly. All the confusion and frustration welled into my eyes and I began to cry, letting everything I'd felt for the past month fall from my eyes. "Does this get easier?"

"I don't know," Leo rested his forehead on my shoulder. "It feels like it gets more complicated everytime I turn around. I keep hoping...but I have no proof..."

"No proof of what?" I frowned.

"It's just something funny a demon said," Leo straightened. "I'll let you know if anything pans out."

"Demons say lots of funny things," I pulled a box of notes from the men of letters out of the nearest book case. "This box is my favourite. This one demon thought it was a fish for three weeks before it decided it was a penguin instead."

"What?" Leo tilted the box to look inside. "I'll have to read this when I have some time."

"Don't you have time now?"

"I wish I did," He stroked my hair. "But I have to go  north to help Claire and Jody with a case. Back to back goblins and werewolves. They need a hand."

"So, you aren't coming to Houston?"

"I'll be there for the weekend," Leo got up and hepled me to my feet too. "And Festus will take you to Tia's place. Are you ready to leave?"
