Chance's POV:
"Come on Egan!" I whisper yelled to my automaton. We were at the door of the bunker and I was trying to convince my guardian to come with me. My seventh birthday was in a week and Leo, Sam, Dean, Claire, and Jodi were busy working on a big Okami case. Apparently a large group of them made it over in a boat from Japan and were now terroizing many parts of, ironically, Winchester Bay, Oregan.
"Chance," Egan said in his mechanical voice. "I do not suggest you do this."
"I want to spend my birthday with my family," I said emphatically. "If they can't come to me, I'll go to them."
"Maybe," Egan said worriedly. "You should go to Houston and visit your aunt and cousin instead."
"No Egan," I sighed. "Leo has been struggling a lot recently now that he's hunting again. He worries about me and if I'm here while he's there, especially for my birthday, he'll worry even more."
"I am responsible for your well being," Egan tilted his dog head, which made him look super cute. "My job is to keep you away from hunting. By helping you go to Oregon I would be disobeying that order. An order that was instructed to me upon my creation."
"I know," I patted his heaad. "And you do so well taking care of me, but you are also at least partially responsible for my mental well being too, right?"
". . . That is correct."
"Then you need to take me to Oregon!" I beamed. "So that I can be happy on my birthday!"
"This is highly unadvised," Egan muttered. "By foot the journey will take twenty-two days, by bike the journey will take six days, and by car the journey will take a little over a day to complete according to online references. How exactly do you plan to accomplish this journey?"
"I could hot wire a car?" I shrugged. "I dont' know, I've never really had a chance to excercise my abilities."
"Are you confused about something, Chance?"
"No!" I exclaimed. "Well, maybe. No one ever really explains to me why Leo and I are different. I know it has to do with our dad, but passed that we don't really talk about it." I knelt down so I was on the same level as Egan. "So for my seventh birthday I want Leo to explain everything. If he's busy hunting then I'll help him finish the case so he can then explain."
"Chance this is highly unadvised," Egan said reproachfully. "You have not hunted before. How will you even find your brother and the others?"
"Easy," I grinned standing. "Every few cities we'll stop and use a pay phone, I'll call Leo and ask him where he is and what he's up to. That way when we arrive, we can go straight to their motel to wait."
From below I heard Festus bellow and his suitcase form rolled itself into the main room of the bunker.
"Festus!" I levitated him up to me and Egan. "That's perfect! Festus can fly us to Leo! That'll be even shorter right?"
"And who will stay here to protect the bunker?" Egan turned to Festus. "My job is to take care of Chance. You need to protect the bunker, please?"
Festus creaked out a replie.
"I agree with Festus," I nodded. "Having a dragon with us will increase our chances of getting to Oregan unharmed."
"You are a bad influence on her," Egan sighed. "Fine, let's fly to Oregan."
"Yay!" I ran out of the bunker locking the doors after my two automaton guardians. Festus transformed into a Dragon and Egan changed into a spider monkey then wrapped his arms around me as I climbed onto Festus. "Alright let's go."
