Chance's POV:

It's no fair! Castiel came home early and took all my spell materials away! He told me not to be angry as Leo would be back soon. That didn't stop me from sticking my tongue out at him while he wasn't looking! Egan sided with Cas and refused to steal me more ingredients so I just sat at the kitchen table angrily stabbing a bowl of cereal. Leo, Sam, and Dean got back early the next morning and Leo immdeiately came and scooped me up.

"No it wouldn't be confusing if two kids named Alex lived at Jodi's place!" Dean argued with his brother. "It would just be inconvient."

"And by that you mean confusing," Sam shot back. "For now Alex's aunt is okay with him living with her, but I think if it ever becomes strained then Alex should come here to live with us. He is a demigod after all."

"We don't know he's a demigod," Dean rolled his eyes.

"He is a demigod," Cas confirmed. "I checked."

"When?" Dean frowned.

"When you texted from his aunt's place," Cas admitted. "I flew over and back quickly."

"Right," Dean sighed. "Well thank you for that demigod detector."

"What do--"

"It's not important," Leo cut Cas off. "I want to hear what Chance found."

"The Ancient Greek Philosopher Aklios," Cas dissappeared and reappeared with my box full of Aklios's notes and the supplies I'd collected for making the spell I'd been researching. Cas handed Leo Aklios's notebook, "The spell she was after is called the "God Empowerment Spell." It is untested and very dangerous."

"It isn't untested!" I protested. "Aklios--"

"He means untested by the Men of Letters," Leo hushed me gently. "Aklios says he had three fully sucessful trails of this spell and all three of them seemed to use the help of a demon."

"Well we're not doing that," Dean huffed. "Demons are bad news no mater what time you're from."

"He also had a partially sucessful attempt with the help of a nymph," Leo continued reading. "But he also thought an angel could take the place of the demon. He just could never get one to help him."

"Let me see," Cas peered at where Leo pointed at the page. "You just need a bit of blood? That should be doable."

"Do we actually want to test this?" Claire asked in disbelief. "What happened to the failures?"

"None of them died," Leo shrugged.

"That should not be where you set the standard of success," Claire glared at my brother.

"It's not!" Leo defended quickly. "But most of his twenty two failures did end up in comas."

"How much nectar do you have left?" Claire growled.

"Enough," Leo sounded sheepish. "This recipe only requires a drop of nectar so my half full flask should be enough to make the spell and save my life should we require it."

"Cas?" Dean gripped the angel's shoulder.

"Like I said," Cas produced a vial of blood out of no where. "Always happy to bleed for the Winchesters."

"And fam," Dean took the vial. "Let's get cooking and we might just be able to smite the Olympians after all."

Claire's POV:

Chance was once again left in my care as the others mixed the potion and cast the spell. Dean filled me in on what had happened with the boy with the glowing eyes while we waited. Dean also wasn't much of one for the technical side of spell casting. Aparently the spell was more of a potion that could be taken at any time if it was needed. Accordig to Akilos's notes it lasted for only so long and could burn out the demigod if not used in moderation. This news did not lower my blood pressure. An hour later it was brewed and we were on our way to Sioux Falls. Jody volunteered to take care of Chance while we found an abandoned church to test the potion. Chance protested being excluded very loudly, but we told her it was for her own good. In reality we just didn't want her to know how to make the potion and take it herself or else she'd come with us on hunts and maybe get herself hurt or killed. I felt a bit like a jerk for this but we really did have her well being at heart when making the decision. What kind of guardians would we be if we didn't exclude her? Still she was going to be mad at us for a while. I could tell.
