[a few weeks before college]
grayson's pov

i wrapped my arms around her and stared at the beautiful sunset right in front of us.

"this is amazing grayson," i could tell that she was smiling uncontrollably, even if i'm not looking at her face.

"this is amazing because i'm with you," i kissed the top of her head.

"i love you so much," she quietly giggled while my biceps almost covered her whole cheeks.

"i love you so much more," my heart raced intensely by just being with her.

she turned around to face me.

her beautiful eyes, her all natural face, her long silky hair, her soft lips.

everything about this girl is perfect.

i leaned in and kissed her on the lip.
after a few seconds, i pulled away and i smiled.

"can you believe that we started off as a stupid deal?" she laughed at the thought.

"i honestly can't believe that we are actually here right now, together," i laughed along with her.

"grayson.. we aren't here together," her facial expressions dropped.

my eyebrows furrowed; confused, "what?"

"wake up," she quietly whispered.
"grayson. wake up," she whispered again.

i opened my eyes to ethan slapping my face repeatedly.

"grayson! wake up!" he slapped my face one last time; hard.

"ouch. fuck dude. okay. stop!" i yelled at him to stop.

"come on. we have to get to class. it's the first day of college and we can't be slacking," he said as if he was a dad.

he walked to the bathroom and fixed his hair in the mirror while i threw the blankets over me, getting off the bed.

i grabbed my phone on the counter and went to me and malia's text messages.

me: good morning beautiful.

malia: oh my god. why are you bothering me at this time???

i smiled at the message she sent me.
what a goof.

me: i'm just trying to show you love :(

malia: and i love the show. keep going

6:18a.m
me: haha. you're just so funny, aren't you?

malia: you love mee:)

6:21a.m
me: i do. are you almost ready?

6:22a.m
malia: no because my boyfriend isn't here with me.

6:24a.m
me: ten minutes. come out of your dorm.

malia: can't wait.

"was that malia?" ethan asked me as he grabbed his backpack from the floor.
