malia's pov

my eyes scanned around the room and i noticed how messy it was after i walked past the door frame.

"woah," i said, being absolutely shocked.

"i'm sorry. i had a mental breakdown then i ended up tearing the place apart," daniela said behind me, causing me to turn around.

"it's fine. we'll clean it up together," i assured her while putting my phone down on the table.

"change out. we're going to get some ice cream since i know you love ice cream," she instructed while kicking a box out of her way.

"which one are we going to?" i asked while walking towards my closet.

"a really good one. then, we can all just chat," she said while walking to her own dresser.

picking out some dark-blue ripped jeans and a grey sweater, i keep catching daniela staring at me in the corner of my eye.

"take a picture. it last longer," i said as a joke while turning my head directly towards her.

she scoffed, "shut up. i'm just still shocked that i'm finally talking to my bestfriend again." she said while trying to hold back a big smile.

"you know how we told each other, every time we get into stupid fights, we will look back at it in a few years later and think it was stupid?" i asked while raising my eyebrow.

she paused for a second but then nodded her head, "yeah."

"this.." i air-drew a circle with my hands; showing i was talking about us and how we fought. "will be the biggest fight we will always remember and think about how stupid it was to fight in the first place," i finished my sentence.

she smiled, "i couldn't agree more."

"who's fault is it? definitely not mine," i put my hands up, making it obvious i was joking around.

"oh shut up. i will challenge you to a pillow fight right now if we weren't leaving," she stared me down while keeping a straight face.

"you know.. i've learned some tricks in my coma. i know how to beat the shit out of you," i joked, not meaning it.

"and i've learned some tricks too. look at this room,"  she raised her eyebrow, giving me the 'hmm bitch' face.

i sarcastically rolled my eyes, "whatever. i'm still better."

we both chuckled quietly, having some other simple conversations but not too serious.

after a few more minutes, three loud knocks on our door caused daniela to walk over and open the door.

"ew what are they doing here?" daniela asked in disgust as she turned her back at them; walking back to her hairbrush, obviously sarcasm.

"yuck. i hate boys," i made a disgusted face as they walked inside our dorm.

they both chuckle while grayson walked towards me, making me stand up from my chair.
