malia's pov

the music started to beat in the back of my brain, i don't feel good.

i walked through the open-frat house that i showed up with no one just an hour ago.

my eyes landed on a blonde girl who seemed nice.

i walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder.

"hey. do you know where the bathroom is?" i asked her once she turned around to face me.

a small smile showed up on her face to be polite, "yeah there's one upstairs and it should be empty. you turn a right, keep walking then make a left and it should be on your right."

she looks kinda.. like someone i've seen around before.

my eyebrows perked up from confusion, "huh?"

she started to laugh, "here. i'll just bring you there." she insisted since the directions were pretty confusing.

"thank you so much," i thanked her as i follow behind her, going upstairs.

"hey. what's your name?" she asked, starting a conversation.

"my name is malia," i smiled. "you?"

her facial expressions dropped a little bit, "malia?" she asked for clarification.

i nodded my head, "yeah that's me."

"do you know grayson?" she asked while her eyebrows furrowed.

i nodded my head again, "yeah i do." i paused. "wait who are you?"

"my name is candice," she said once we stopped walking. "i suppose grayson has mentioned me to you a few times?"

i nodded my head without even realizing it, "yeah. yeah. he has."

"well here's the bathroom," she pointed while sending a smile before slowly turning around.

"wait, wait," i stopped her desperately, wanting to ask her something.

her body slowly turned back to face me while her facial expressions showed me she was waiting for what i have to say.

"has grayson ever mentioned me to you? since you knew who i was?" i asked with a raised eyebrow, curious to what she has to say.

she didn't say anything for a little bit, it's like she didn't want to speak the truth.

"um.." she snapped out of her zone. "yeah he has. he told me some stuff but i never realized you'd be this pretty in person."

i scoffed, "i'm almost wasted, i'm a slob."

her shoulder shrugged while her hands stayed in her pocket, "if you look this good as a slob. i don't know how good you'll look not being a slob."

my eyebrows furrowed as she turned around, like she didn't want to admit that to herself.

"hey. no wait, candice," i stopped her from walking away.
