"June baby are you sure? You want to live alone." Mom asked worriedly while driving the car to my new apartment.I sighed "Yes Mom we have talked about this earlier, I will be okay. I can take care of myself." Like I always have.
She sighed.
"Ok...I will not ask any questions. But please if you will have any problem you will call me and you will be visiting home often." She stated almost commanding me.
I just hummed, looking out of the window observing the azure blue sky, the clouds looked like soldiers moving and guarding the sun. The sunlight peeking from the space between two buildings.
The sidewalk was bustling with life. Different expression on everyone's face. Everyone having a different style, a different story to tell.
I find it very fascinating to know what's going inside everyone's mind. Some people's expression gives it all away and some have closed off their feelings.
I was so lost in looking at all this that I didn't even realize that we have reached our destination.
"Honey we are here. " Mom said unbuckling her seatbelt.
I too did the same and stepped out of the car. Mama took out my bags from the car and handled me some as we both made our way to the apartment.
I finished high school a couple of months back, right now I am studying law just like my father. He is one of the best lawyers of Seoul. I always wanted to be like him, doing justice to innocent people. Many things changed in my life but my decision to be a lawyer never did change, I got this trait from my father, that if I have decided to do something I will do it no matter what.
My parents bought this house for me, and when I said that I want to do it on my own they threatened me that I have to live with them then. We agreed that they will buy the apartment but I will pay for all my expenses.
The apartment was relatively big for me, I could have managed to live in small one too, but no one can argue with parents.
A living room, kitchen, a master bedroom with an attached bathroom, and how can I forget the balcony. The walls are white and some bricked. It's well furnished too.
The view from the balcony is just mesmerizing. It's definitely not a view of ocean water or sea. But the tall buildings that stand high, honking of the cars. That is something no one likes but I have grown used to it in the past years living in the city Seoul.
Mom left after giving me an hour lecture about what to do and what to not. This was the longest my mom has talked to me, I don't remember when was the last time we interacted that much.
I unpacked my clothes and books and put them in their place. I settled on the couch and ordered some take out food as it was already 10 PM, there was no way I was going to cook after this hectic day.
I remembered the notes that I have kept in my pocket. Curiousity creeping up in my veins. I pulled out a blue coloured one and read it.

I sighed, rubbing my eyes and layed on the couch, closed my eyes, letting my thoughts consume me that mainly consisted of someone completely unfamiliar for me.
