I take notes as we sit in the meeting. I catch Michael looking over at me a few times but I ignore him. After the way he spoke to me at lunch, I don't get why he's looking over at me. Maybe I should be a bit... nicer to him. There's just something about him I don't trust. I guess I can try and go a bit easier on him, but I'm not like that. Also considering he was hired without me even having a say in it. I'm going to lay off the gym this week too, have a little break, not only for my body but from Michael too.

As the week goes by Michael keeps quiet and doesn't bother me, which I'm not complaining about! I'm glad he's not annoying me, but I also feel a bit bad... I don't want to come across as a bitch, but I guess that's a bit late now. Should I apologise to him? No way Layla! I shake my head. I'm not the apologetic type. I mean, if anything he's definitely got some balls with the way he spoke to his boss's wife. He's lucky I haven't told Marcus.

The weekend comes around quickly. Today I promised I would take my 6 year old nephew to his friends birthday party. I'm kind of regretting that now. I had a few drinks last night and have a massive headache, so being at a kids party with a hangover is not the one.

"You better get to your sisters, it's getting late." Marcus says smirking at me.

"Yes." I sigh holding my head. "I'm leaving now. Wish me luck."

"It's your own fault." He chuckles kissing my forehead.

"Please don't shout, and I've had a stressful week! I needed to unwind last night, forgetting I had to take Zack to some kids party."

"What do you mean you've had a stressful week?" He laughs.

"You're not the only one who works hard Marcus..." I raise an eyebrow. "I work hard!"

"Ok ok." He smiles. "Good luck, and I'll see you later."

"Bye." I smile and walk over to the front door.

"Have fun." He calls after me.

I look back at him grinning. I shake my head and smile.

"I just hope they have adult drinks there too."

"You're driving Mrs."

"I'm kidding. See you later." I laugh and leave the house, getting in my car.

I drive over to my sisters house and text her saying I'm here. She opens the front door and Zack runs out with a huge smile, carrying a birthday bag. I get out of the car and he hugs me.

"Hey Zack. Go careful on me today bud."

"I want birthday cake!" He yells jumping up and down.

Jesus Christ.

"Has he already ate a load of sugar?!" I ask shaking my head.

Hayley walks over to me laughing.

"Hey sis. Thanks again for taking him today."

I rub my head and smile.

"Yeah no problem. Anything so my sister and her husband can have some alone time."

"By alone time you mean decorating the house right?" She laughs.

"Uh yeah, or him.. decorating you." I chuckle.

"Shut up." She hits me playfully and smiles.

"Let's go! Let's go!!" Zack shouts sitting in my car.

"Not so loud Zack." I moan smiling.

"Late night last night?" Hayley asks folding her arms.

"Uh I might of had one too many, but I'm fine."
