I look at my mobile, sighing. Nothing from Michael... I take a shower and then look at my mobile again. I thought he would have text me... I feel terrible. I take some headache tablets and drink some water. Maybe I should text him. See if he is ok? No, he kissed his ex wife Layla... you're upset. But... what if I've pushed him to take drugs after the argument we had? And I was drinking last night which didn't help... and to top it off Hayley isn't replying to my texts. My phone beeps. I pick it up quickly and see it's just Molly. I roll my eyes and read her text.

Hey, I'll be over in the next couple of hours! I've got the music sorted, and I've got loads of alcohol. Can't wait to see your house!

I moan and shake my head. I really don't want to do this house warming party tonight. I just want a quiet get together. Everyone is coming though, and I can't say no now. Not at this short notice. I sigh and go upstairs to get ready. I apply dark eye shadow, and a red lipstick. I let my hair down, and curl some of it, making it wavy. I wear a short black dress, showing a little bit of cleavage.

I check my phone again and still nothing. I roll my eyes. I know I shouldn't expect anything from him, because I was the one who said it was over between us, but I was angry and upset... And slightly drunk. I didn't mean it. I snap out of my thoughts when I hear a knock on the front door. I walk over and answer it. Molly smiles at me and raises an eyebrow.

"Hey." I smile.

"What are you dressed as?" She asks.

"A cat..."

"You look nothing like a cat!" She chuckles, handing me some shopping bags.

"I haven't put my ears on yet." I smirk.

"It's a good job I know how to do makeup. I'll help you draw on some whiskers."

I give her a look as she steps inside.

"What about your costume?" I ask looking at her.

"I've brought it with me. I'll change soon." She smiles. "I love your house Layla. It's massive!"

"Thanks." I smile. "Drink?" I ask.

"Yes please. Let's get started." She smiles.

"Remember it's my house warming Molly, not a piss up."

"I know that." She chuckles. "I just like things like this."

I smile as we walk in to the kitchen. I get us both a glass of wine and she starts unpacking the alcohol. I lay out some food on the table and sit down. She looks at me.

"I got you a little something." She smiles handing me a gift bag.

"Aw, thank you Molly. You didn't need to. Helping me organise this was enough."

"Of course I was going to get you a house warming gift. Open it." She smiles.

I open it and take out some pretty photo frames, and some scented candles.

"This is really nice. I haven't got either of these things. Thank you." I smile and hug her.

"Youre welcome." She smiles and pulls back, looking me up and down. "You look hot Layla, you just need to look more like a cat."

"I've got cat ears in my bedroom. All I have to do is put them on and people will know I'm a cat."

She gives me a look.

"Just a few whiskers?"

I sigh and smile.

"Ok."

She grins and gets some of her makeup out of her handbag.

"You need to be quick. Everyone will be arriving soon."
