"You have a nice house!" I say pulling up to the curb, outside his house.
"Thanks... why do you sound so surprised?" He laughs.
"Well... I didn't expect it to be so big."
Michael smirks looking at me. I realise I said the wrong thing. I shake my head and chuckle.
"You're so wrong."
"I don't know what you mean?" He laughs.
I roll my eyes, taking my phone out. Its 12:30... I have a few texts from Marcus. I'm surprised he hasn't tried to call me 100 times already.
"Do you still want a drink?" Michael asks.
I look away from my mobile and look at him.
"I should get going."
He stays looking at me.
"Who does Marcus think you're with right now?"
"My sister..."
"Text him, and say you're staying over hers tonight."
"What?"
"Stay with me tonight."
I lower my eyebrows and chuckle.
"I can't stay at yours."
"Why not? I don't think it's a good idea for you to go home to him at this time, do you?"
"I don't think it's a good idea for me to stay with you tonight either."
"Why? I'll take the sofa and you can take my bed."
I shake my head and look back at my mobile.
"Ok." Michael sighs. "Have one drink with me before you go?"
"But I'll be even more late getting back home."
"Ok." Michael nods. "Thanks for driving me home."
"That's ok."
I watch him open the car door and get out. I sigh watching him. I quickly open my door.
"Michael." I call after him.
He stops and turns around looking back at me. I close my car door and take off his jacket.
"I almost forgot to give you this back." I hold it up.
He walks back over to me and takes it.
"I'll have a drink with you." I say looking at him.
He smiles.
"But just one." I give him a look.
"Sure." He nods, still smiling.
I walk with him to his front door.
"I've had that effect on you twice."
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"You give in. Like at the club when I asked if you wanted some air. You didn't want to at first, but then you came with me. And now, you're coming in to my house." He opens the front door.
"So what are you saying?" I let out a soft laugh as we step inside. "That I give in to you?"
He smirks as he turns the lights on and closes the front door behind us.
"I don't have to persuade you much." He shrugs.
I give him a look.
"I think you're thinking too much in to it Michael."
