I stare at my mobile smiling to myself.
"Oooh I know what that look is." Molly grins.
I look up from my mobile and look at her.
"What?" I ask letting out a soft laugh.
"I think you know what Layla." She smirks.
I shake my head and giggle looking back down at my mobile. She comes over trying to look down at my phone.
"Hey." I laugh hiding it from her.
"I was right. It's a man." She smirks.
"Go do some work." I chuckle.
She gives me a look.
"I will after you've told me about Mr man. You've been keeping things from me!"
"I haven't." I chuckle. "I just wanted to keep it quiet for now. We have history."
Her face changes.
"Oh no, one of them huh? He your ex?"
"No, it's not like that." I shake my head. "Just... some things happened between us, and we are slowly getting back to how things used to be."
"I get you girl. I've been there and done that too."
I smile and go back to my computer.
"Paul is gonna be heartbroken."
I pull a face.
"No, don't say that."
She laughs.
"I'm just messing with you. He does really like you though."
I sigh.
"I'll have to try and make it clear that I just want to be friends."
"Just tell him straight. You're seeing someone."
"No, I don't want to be that harsh." I shake my head.
"To be honest you don't have to tell him anything. Just continue what you're doing. You're not making him think he's got a chance so it's fine."
"Yeah... maybe." I shrug.
"I can have a word with him if you want?"
"No Molly." I widen my eyes.
She chuckles.
"Get Mr Man to have a word with him?"
"No." I laugh. "It doesn't need to come to that. Paul hasn't done anything."
"I know, but you don't want him to keep harassing you."
"He hasn't harassed me." I chuckle. "He's nice and I like him. I don't want to make things awkward."
"Yeah." She nods. "Well if you're not going to try with him, then maybe I can get his attention." She smiles.
"Yeah, go for it." I laugh.
She smiles and we start working again.
"When is your house warming party Layla? It's been weeks since you moved in." She asks looking at me.
"I know." I sigh. "I'm going to get my decorating finished this week, so next week maybe?"
"I can't wait." She grins. "I bet your house looks so nice."
"It does, and I don't want people to get too drunk and trash the place."
"Like that would happen?!" She giggles. "We're all responsible adults, not reckless teenagers."
