[a/n: i changed a lot in this chapter because i didn't like the direction it would make this story head towards so forgive me D:]

"kaori what should i do?"

"fuck bitches and get money."

"no what the fu- no you idiot i mean about bokuto."

"oh that's what you mean," kaori said putting down her phone.

the two were currently in akaashi's bedroom hanging out. it was 3pm on a sunday. after yesterday's, "double date," akaashi's heart was practically melting. he thought he was over bokuto but yesterday proved him wrong. why did bokuto have to be so nice to him? it would've been easier if he was mean to him and then he could get over bokuto quicker.

"akaashi you still obviously have feelings for him so you're going to have to confess soon."

"yeah i know," akaashi mumbled quietly.

"just tell him your feelings because at this point i think it's the best way to get over him. at this rate it's only going to get worse."

akaashi stared at the wall in front of him.

"when should i do it?" akaashi asked fiddling with the owl plushie he had in his arms.
after yesterday's mall game, bokuto ended up buying akaashi a blue owl plushie he found in a store ('look akaashi!' bokuto said shoving the plushie in his face, 'isn't it adorable!?')

"ask bokuto when he's free. then go over to house and tell him your feelings. the sooner the better." kaori paused, "can you hand me your phone?"

akaashi reluctantly handed his phone over to kaori. he knew kaori meant the sentence as a statement and not a question. basically akaashi was going to give his phone to kaori no matter what.

"here you go," kaori said handing back akaashi's phone to him after a few seconds.

kaori had messaged bokuto asking when he was free. akaashi choked.

"i said i wanted to talk to him but i didn't think this soon," akaashi said after he stopped choking.

"well you would put it off forever so i took matters into my own hands," kaori said matter-of-factly.

akaashi just grumbled because he knew she was right. five minutes later akaashi got a text from bokuto:

you
hey when are you free?

bokuto-san
right now is fine.

bokuto-san
i wanna talk to you about something.

-

"kaori i can't do this... i'm gonna puke."

"please don't."

"how am i going to pull this off?"

"just tell him your feelings."

"easier said than done" akaashi grumbled taking a deep breathe and walked out the front door of his house after kaori practically rolled him to the door.

he walked over to bokuto's front door. he contemplated just running away, but he looked up to his bedroom window and saw that kaori was watching him. she flashed him a reassuring smile.
