akaashi had recently graduated highschool and was a quarter of the way through his freshman year at college. as per requested, he was able to share a dorm room with bokuto. though his late night tendecies sometimes made akaashi question whether or not he wanted to switch dorm partners. maybe he and kuroo could switch places.

the five best friends had all went to the same college. while kuroo and bokuto went for volleyball, kenma has gone for software design, kaori for buisness managment, and akaashi for neurology.

when bokuto first graduated and went off to college, akaashi missed him and frequently found himself wanting to call bokuto even though he knew the older had classes at the time.

however akaashi got through it with the constant facetiming with bokuto, and all the holidays they would spend together.

when akaashi finally graduated, he was estatic to know that he got accepted into the same as bokuto with almost a full scholarship. not that anyone was suprised considering akaashi's perfect test grades and attendance.

he was currently just getting his bachelor degree and was going to get his doctarate afterwards.

"hey akaashi what are you still doing up?" bokuto said groggily.

akaashi looked at the digital clock that was on his desk. it read 1:32am.

"oh i didn't realize it was already this late," akaashi mumbled.

"come to bed with me, you should get to sleep."

"i will just a few more minutes. i have a test tomorrow."

"you'll do fine, you've been studying for this test for the last week," bokuto said sleepily resting his head on the younger's shoulder.

"i know, but i want to make sure i do well."

just when akaashi thought he had convinced bokuto to go back to bed and let hin study he felt a pair of arms pick him up. akaashi let out a groan of protest before he was lightly set down onto the two's shared bed.

"bokuto, i already said i was going to come back to bed in a couple more minutes."

bokuto climbed into bed beside him before crawling underneath the covers and getting comfortable.

"mm i heard what you said, i just don't believe you."

before akaashi could continue his protest, bokuto wrapped his arms around the younger cuddling into him already looking half way into dream land.

"go to sleep," bokuto stated slurring his words slightly.

akaashi finally agreed feeling his eyelids start to droop with a drowsiness he didn't realize he felt. the younger let sleep overcome him.

-

a lot have happened in the last few years. kozume and tetsurou had gotten married two years earlier and were still going strong after all this time. kaori had quickly given up on her crush on yukie when she learned that she was studying abroad. however she had veen talking to a cute chinese girl who was in the same major as her named luli and was talking to her. kaori seemed to really like her.

"hey koutaro, can you help me move this box?"

"sure... mr. bokuto," koutaro replied cheekily.

keiji flushed at the name that recently became his.

after keiji got his bachelor's degree, koutaro had proposed to him. it was when they were on break for the new year and happened to end up wondering around their home town. they ended up in the same park they had their first kiss. just like last time snow was falling slightly and the sun was just starting to set.

when koutaro first got down on his knee, keiji was confused. but as he pulled out the small black velvet box and noticed the nervous look on koutaro's face he understood what was going on.

when koutaro asked the question, keiji had burst out in tears and immediatly said yes.

they had been engaged for quite a while since keiji wanted to wait until he finished med school. plus he wanted to wait as koutaro's volleyball career started up as he had been accepted into the japan's national volleyball alongside kuroo and even some of their old freinds/opponents were on the team. keiji knew that hinata and kageyama were on the team along with iwaizumi and oikawa (though as far as keiji knew, they were both iwaizumi), plus a few others he recognized but couldn't remember their names.

their wedding was nothing fancy, but bokuto insisted that they invited a lot of their family members and old plus new friends. tetsurou had been koutaro's best man, and kozume was keiji's with kaori as his "bridesmaid."

but with bokuto's mom being an interior designer and keiji's mom being a perfectionist and great planner, the wedding turned out a lot more extravagant than they orignially planned.

nonetheless, the two still loved how it turned out. the whole wedding day quickly became their most favorite moment in their life.

the two finally gotten back from their homeymoon afer a two week stay in paris and then new zealand.

"how does that look?"

"it looks great mrs. bokuto," keiji smiled.

bokuto's mom had come over to help the newly weds decorate their house.

"oh keiji, how many times have i told you to call me sara. plus you're a bokuto now too," she smiled.

'what is up with those two trying to constantly make me flustered?' akaashi thought. first koutaro and now his mom. 'good thing his dad or sister isn't here or else they would definatly do it to me as well.'

"ah right, sorry mrs- i mean sara."

"that's more like. now keiji, tell me how you feel about the color periwinkle."

and that's how the rest of the day went. koutaro, along with kuroo and kenma, helped unpack and move furniture while mrs. bokuto kept asking keiji how he felt about different colors, textures, and more.

at the end of the day, everyone went back to their own houses. it left only the two who laid down in their bed surrounded by a bunch of unpacked boxes.

"this was a pretty productive day," koutaro said.

"yeah it has," keiji agreed.

"i hope my mom didn't annoy you too much with trying to pick out decor."

"never. though i did expand my vocabulary of colors. instead of saying 'purplish-red' i can now say boysenberry," akaashi giggled.

koutaro laughed alongside him.
after a few moments of silence keiji finally spoke up.

"you know, i'm glad i was the one who showed you around our old highschool," keiji said softly.

"me too," koutaro agreed, a small smile forming on his face due to the memory that seemed to happrn centuries ago.

"and i'm glad you put up with me through all the stupid mistakes i made that hurt you and how oblivious i was," koutaro said with a tone of regretfulness.

keiji turned to face koutaro, "it wasn't like you meant it."

"i know but i still feel bad about it. i was a jerk to you back th-"

keiji interrupted him by placing a soft kiss to the older's lips.

keiji pulled away, but only by a couple centimeters. "forget it, we're here together now and that's all i care about."

koutaro smiled at the man he was so lucky to call his husband and pulled him in for another kiss that was filled with as much love as it had their first kiss.
