(n.) a heartbreaking feeling that leaves long-lasting traces, visible in gestures and facial expressions

(i.) pour me a drink of your finest blue lagoon
and give me a kiss with it
a kiss that wouldn't last forever
but a kiss that would feel like forever.

(ii.) swathe your arms around my neck
and cuddle me 'till i fall into a yellow slumber
the summer rain started to clear up
from the other side of the world
as we laid down on our sides
next to a willow tree that's been marked ours
with our initials carved into the trunk.

" v + "

(iii.) the beloved tree rotted at my sight
your tropical body felt frigid against my own
your welcoming touch began to feel like a stranger's
the exquisite feeling i had faded away like
the blue mist from earlier this morning
and i awoke from another foolish dream (horrid nightmare)
heavy sighs followed my lips as i looked at the colorless ceiling
while the loveless skies above it formed into a pit of nothingness
another stupid
fucking
dream.

(iv.) why can't any of this be real?
why can't i just hold you like i used to?
why is it that the only time i can see you
is in my dreams?

(v.) now tell me mon étoile
why did you leave me like this?
why do i have this feeling?
this feeling of
mágoa.
