rainbow dust spilt everywhere

on the kitchen floor

i helped you pick them up

because they wouldn't want to see

you with so much effervescent colors,

would they?

our palms now covered

in iridescent pigment

your stained shirt matches

your heart-shaped lips

your attractive beam made

rudolph's nose blink

and my never kissed cheeks flutter

with butterflies on the tip of my nose.

eight knocks on the door

but nine ways to get inside her chamber

shall i reach for the knob

and risk falling into the grand canyon?

(falling in love)?

or deny the feeling of detonate in

my stomach?

pollinate my forsaken amber flower

if you please, i won't stop you

got stung in my eye with a bee

when i was young

snake up my ribs

venom flowing in my veins

now that i've grown and matured

pick up the phone

for heaven's sake!

tear down the castle the wicked witch of the

west lived in

and make me your dorothy

dancing in her shiny red shoes

who needs a brain when my heart takes

all the power i have over me

sunshine bites my lower lip

as i return her end of summer kiss

and melt into her liquid heat

plummeting into another season's bliss.
