I take one last look at my handsome sleeping husband before waking him up. "Char." I say as I lean over him.

He stirs before wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me on top of him. Laughing, I put my arms on his and try to push myself away from him but his grip is too strong. I give up and kiss his neck. "Come on, babe. Time to get up. Gotta get that brain slug out of there." I say reaching up and tapping his head. He laughs before pulling me tighter against him. He leans up and kisses my lips slowly.

After finally pulling myself away from him, I grab his arm and pull him out of bed. He showers while I do my make up. Finally, we are both dressed and ready to go.

We walk out into the living room/ kitchen area of the hotel room and find my mom out there finishing her breakfast.

"Really, Lauren? You're killing me," Charles said with a desperate look on his face. My poor husband hasn't had anything to eat since yesterday morning.

I laugh as I pull my shoes and jacket on before tossing Charles his Chucks. We all make our way into the hallway where we meet up with Char's parents and his sister, Melissa.

We all pile into the elevator as Charles pulls his camera out to start his vlog. It is early in the morning, too early. I am tired and very, very nervous about the surgery so I am not exactly in the mood to deal with the camera but I do it anyway for Charles.

"Good morning guys, today somebody picks at my brain... Sooo, yup." he starts vlogging and I try to focus on staying strong for him.

As he turns the camera towards me I say "Yayyyy."

We make our way to the hospital to admit Charles. "You got this babaaaayyyy." I say laughing as we are escorted to a room where Charles is to change into a hospital gown.

He starts rambling on about how he is going to vlog is surgery, since he will be awake. He doesn't seem to be nervous but I know is. It isn't everyday you get awake brain surgery, and get to vlog it.

He fusses about his camera before finally deciding to tape it, incase the battery pops out because his camera is broken. Which doesn't surprise me after how many times he has dropped it.

I pull out the other camera and vlog him as he explains what he is doing. I smile at him from behind the camera but he doesn't notice because he is too busy fussing over making sure everything is situated. Even distracted before going into surgery, he is a beautiful sight. I feel warm inside despite the fact that I am terrified that my husband may not make it out of the operating room. I fully trust his doctors but possible cancerous brain tumors aren't anything to take lightly.

The nurse comes in to begin prepping him for his surgery. She marks his forehead for a note of where the tumor is and where they will need to cut. As Charles asks her to explain how he will need to react in the OR, she explains that they will keep him talking so they know what parts of his brain they are effecting. I can tell that Charles begins to worry as he starts rambling to the nurse. After she leaves, I pull out the camera again to vlog Char.

He starts getting loopy from the sedatives that the nurse prepped him with. I laugh as he starts acting strange. He is always strange because he is Charles, but it's always funny to see how he reacts to he medicine. But then comes the time to say goodbye to him... Not goodbye. Just see you after the surgery.

Then nurses come to wheel him into surgery and I grab his hand. "Promise me you will make it out of there. Promise me." I say with a weak smile.

"Al..." he says softly.
