Chapter 6

Delilah POV – The next day – 8 am in the morning

         I opened my eyes tiredly to the heat of the sun's rays hitting my face. Although, it was warm in the room, I could feel the cool temperature of Edward's body against my back and around my waist. His sweet-smelling breath breezed through my hair and down my back. Then, the softness of his lips kissed my shoulder up to the crook of neck which, sent shivers down my spine. I smiled as he brought me even closer to his chest, filling my lungs with his scent of evergreens and rain.

"Good morning! My love", he whispered in my ear. Lightly kissing the shell of my ear.
"Good morning, darling!", I said. I turned around in his arms so, that I could look into his golden colored eyes. His skin lightly shimmered in the small sliver of sunlight. He smiled as I placed a kiss on the side of his neck.
"Did you have a good sleep, Delilah?", he asked.
I nodded. "Yes, I did", I replied with a bright smile on my face. The dream I had last night was of me and Edward running playfully through the trees. He was chasing after me, but I was too fast for him. My laughter filled the forest air as well as my squeal when he finally, caught up to me. He had run around me so that, he could wrap his strong arms around my waist. Naturally, I wrapped my arms around his neck. Our forehead touching each other before, leaning in for a kiss. It felt so real at the time, but it was the most enjoyable dreams I've had in a long time.

Edward, had this happy look on his face and when I read his mind as to why. My cheeks turned a bright pink with his thoughts. He once again had his classic crooked smile of his as, he leaned forward to place his lips on mine. Then, Edward moved on to place a light kiss on the tip of my nose.

"Are you going to always read my mind when I'm sleeping?", I asked.
He nodded with a smug look on his perfect face. "I like reading you mind, love. It is one of the many beautiful things about you that I love. Plus, if all of your dreams are about me then I don't think I'll ever stop", he replied. Laughing after I playfully slapped his arm in embarrassment. He then, proceeded to move me so that I was on top of him, straddling his waist. My cheeks were probably burning a bright red right now at our new position. I buried my head into his chest to hide how red, I was. I could feel the rumble inside Edward's chest as he laughed at my reaction. 'How can he be so forward?' I thought, making sure that I had blocked my thoughts beforehand.

Edward, wrapped his arms around my waist as he kissed the top of my head. We stayed like this for a while, lost in the comfort of each other's company and passionate kisses. It wasn't until, I heard him sigh deeply. I lifted my head up from his chest. 'What is wrong?' I asked telepathically.
'I wish we could stay like this forever, but one of my sisters are on the other side of the door. She wants to know if, it's the right time to come in', he laughed out loud, 'She also wants to know if we are... decent', he replied.

'Ugh, why does he always turn me into a strawberry?' I thought.

He laughed once again.

Begrudgingly unwrapped myself from Edward's arms and off the bed. I walked across the room to my bedroom door. To be honest, I knew already that it was Edward's sister, Alice, who was on the other side of the door. As, soon as my hand touched the handle I turned to look at, Edward who was sitting up and leaning against my headboard. He was busying himself with reading my worn-out copy of, "Altered Carbon". I rolled my eyes as, I opened the door to reveal a very hyper Alice who was practically bouncing.

"Good morning, love birds!! Esme, prepared breakfast for you and Kol", she announced. I was about to say something before, I felt her hugging once again. After, a few minutes like this she pulled away to walk back to the kitchen with a smile on her face.
I sighed. I turned around to see that my mate was still reading. So, I started to go through my morning routine. First, was to take a bath then, straightening the bird's nest I call my hair and brushing my teeth. Suddenly, I paused when it had hit me, I didn't bring any clothing for me to wear. Aside from my Hello Kitty PJs.
