A/N: And here is the third part of the update. I can't believe the story is almost over. I'm so excited and a little bit terrified. So, this chapter is special because it's a fork in the road. I will give you guys a choice at the end so be sure to read the author's note at the bottom. Also... Happy (late) Festa ARMY! Enjoy!
There was a very distinct knock at the door and Yoongi immediately knew who it was. Why did Hoseok even bother knocking? It wasn't like the older was in his home or at the music studio. For an entire four days he'd been huddled up in their cell with nothing to do but lounge around and think - a bad combination, especially now.
Hoseok: "Morning, hyung. How did you sleep?" his ever cheerful voice was completely out of place in the grim surroundings of the cell.
Yoongi: "I didn't" he answered with a tone much colder than intended.
Hoseok: "Again?" the younger sighed, leaving a paper bag with food next to the other wolf "You need to sleep, Yoongi. Seriously, you look like crap."
Yoongi: "Thanks" the alpha scoffed, knowing it was truth because he felt like it too "How much longer, Hobi?"
Hoseok: "Don't worry, hyung. I've been talking to Namjoon and things are starting to calm down so you won't have to be in here much longer."
Yoongi: "I'm fine you know" he tried to argue, hoping his voice doesn't betray him, because he really wasn't.
Hoseok: "It's just a precaution, you know that. The pack has been endangered enough already. We need to make sure everything's okay, otherwise we might have to move. Do you want that?"
Yoongi: "No" the wolf huffed and placed an arm over his head, refusing to move from the old mattress, be it may not the comfiest one he'd laid in "I get it, I get it. It's just... I'm going crazy in this hellhole."
Hoseok: "We've all been here on different occasions, just a bit more, hyung" the younger smiled again, making his way to the door.
Yoongi: "Leaving already?" the alpha would rather bite his own arm off than admit to missing his friends but he was feeling so lonely.
Hoseok: "I have a dance class in thirty minutes and I need to get ready. Eat up and Jin hyung will drop by later to check up on you."
With a good-natured wave, which Yoongi actually found cute, and one last smile, Hoseok disappeared, locking the heavy door behind him. The older was once again left alone to his thoughts and that was exactly what he feared. As he laid in the darkness, Yoongi couldn't help but think about Leila's visit a few days ago. They broke up. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt, nor did he miss her. It was expected - their relationship had been falling apart for a while and it was only a matter of time until it reached a breaking point. The only regret Yoongi had at this point was not doing it sooner. Sure, he didn't want to hurt her but prolonging the inevitable didn't help either. They weren't right for each other - it was the best decision, regardless of her feelings.
However, the things Leila had said to him still lingered in the back of his mind - casting a shadow on all of Yoongi's thoughts, haunting the deepest corners of his mind. It was Namjoon's best intention to bring the omega so they can settle everything but that talk only awoke demons inside Yoongi's head that had been dormant for a while now, ironically thanks to none other than you. Sighing, the alpha once again laid back on the bed, reliving the grapple he had with his now ex-girlfriend.
It actually didn't take long for Jin and Jimin to bring the omega to the cell. Yoongi thought she might have been in one of the usual places they were accustomed to seeing her - the music studio or the bar, but he wasn't interested enough to ask. Namjoon had the courtesy to ensure some privacy, although they were probably right outside the door in case things got out of hand.
