Parker pulls up in his car next to the bus stop where I'm waiting for him. I get in and he starts driving.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"It's a surprise" he says.

"What if I told you I didn't like surprises"

"I'd tell you to suck it up"

"You're so annoying" I smile.

"I know" he smiles back.

"Oh my God, I love this place" I say staring at the Olive Garden restaurant in front of me.

"Yeah, I got a few tips from Sophia" he says. We go inside, get a table, and order our food.

"How's football going?" I ask.

"Good. Toby can't figure out how to throw the fucking ball though"

"Oh. I'm sure he'll get better"

"If he doesn't this season is gonna be a disaster" 

"You'll do great"

"Thanks. How are your classes?"

"I've got everything up to an A except Algebra. I got it up to a C"

"Do you need help? I've got a B+"

"Seriously?"

"Yeah"

"Sure, thanks"

"No problem"

"That was perfect, Parker" I smile while we're walking to his car.

"It's not over yet" he says.

"What?"

"There's a fair in the next town over. Sophia said that you love those things"

"I haven't been to one since..." I say trailing off.

"Since what?" he asks.

"Since my mom died"

"Oh. We don't have to go, we can just go back to my house and watch a movie if you want"

"No, no. The fair sounds fun"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. Lets go"

We play a bunch of a games and go on all the rides before the fair is about to close.

"Lets go on the Ferris Wheel 1 more time" I say. Parker agrees and we get on the ride.

"Parker?" I ask.

"Yeah?" he asks.

"Thank you. This has been one of the best nights of my life"

"Me too" he says and kisses me. We hear the sound of a camera taking a picture and pull away.

"What was that?" he asks.

"A camera" I say.

"Do you think--"

"No. It's a fair. There's a lot of families here taking pictures of their kids"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Stop being so paranoid"

"I'm not paranoid"

"Yes, you are"

"Whatever" he pouts.
