Hey everyone! Before this chapter gets started I just wanted to give a shout out to my brother @sirjcd63 he published his first book and its really good!

2 weeks later

I knock on Ben's door and walk in. He's laying in his bed under the covers. He's reading a book, I think it's like Harry Potter or something.

"Hey" I say.

"Hi" he says.

"Are you still wearing his hoodie?"

"I'm cold"

"I've gotta get to the game. It's the last one of the season. Wanna come with?"

"No. I've got some ELA homework to catch up on"

"Why don't you just go back to class?"

"I sit right next to him"

"Oh yeah. I talked to your teacher. She said as long as you keep your grade up and turn everything in on time she won't mark you as absent"

"Ok"

"Are you gonna be ok alone?"

"Yep"

"I'll be back in a couple hours. Want me to pick you up anything?"

"Nope"

"Ok. Bye"

"Bye" he says and goes back to reading to his book. I grab my coat from the closet and leave.

I go to the locker room and see Parker at his locker. I know Ben doesn't want me to but I have to.

"Parker" I say walking up to him.

"Yeah?" he asks.

"You couldn't even give him a reason?"

"What?"

"I know, Parker. Ben told me when I found him in the bathroom"

"Why would he tell you?"

"Because we're friends now. Now, tell me why"

"How is he?" he asks after a minute.

"He won't leave his room except for the bathroom and class" I say.

"We've been to his house?"

"You don't know? I thought most people did by this point. He's my foster brother"

"WHAT?!"

"Yeah"

"So he's ok? He's away from his father?"

"Mhm but why would you care? You broke up with him"

"I care, Carson" he says and sits down on the bench.

"Funny way of showing it" I scoff.

"Read it" he says giving me his phone. I take the phone and read the texts.

Unknown: U and Ben r thing. When did that happen?
Parker: What? Who is this?
Unknown: I saw u 2 kissing at the fair a few days ago
Parker: Who are u?
Unknown: I wonder what would happen if this picture got out [picture of Ben and Parker kissing on a Ferris wheel at night]
Parker: wtf?!
Unknown: Aubree is a great girl. y would you dump her for a guy?
Parker: Fuck off
Unknown: One tap of a button and the whole school sees this
Parker: DON'T!!!!
Unknown: break up with Ben and I won't
Parker: hell no
Unknown: u could have a family with Bree
Parker: i could have one with Ben too. besides, i'm 17. I'm not thinking about having a family
Unknown: You have 1 week to break up with Ben
Parker: y do u care who I date?
Unknown: bye Parker
