Chapter four

BeastBoy P.O.V
When I finally got back to the tower I was soaking wet and freezing cold. I decided to get out of my wet uniform so I stopped by my room before I walked to Raven's room. I knocked on the door. "Oh Rae, it's BeastBoy." I said in a sing song voice. I knocked a few more times but still no answer. I sighed and opened the door, no one was in there so I walked down the hallway and up the stairs to the roof. Much to my surprise, and of course disappointment, Raven wasn't up here either. Giving up my search I decided to go to the main ops room and watch some tv. I looked into Starfire, Robin, and Cyborg's rooms no one was there. I shrugged and guessed they went out somewhere. Whatever at least I have the whole tower to myself. I smiled as I walked down the hallway.

I walked into the main ops room and was suddenly surprised when I heard a light snoring. I smiled a playful smirk. I was hoping it was Cyborg, I was meaning to pull a prank on him but I've been so busy with Raven lately to remember. As I quietly peeked my head over the couch I saw Raven lying peacefully asleep on the couch. I chuckled when i saw her book laying on her face. I lightly grabbed the book and set it down behind me on the floor. My smirk disappeared as I felt a slight warm feeling in my chest at the sight of her sleeping form. I couldn't help the hand that reached out and stroked her cheek.

Raven P.O.V
I was half awake and I knew someone was watching me sleep. I tried not to show panic so I let sleep take over. As I was just about to start falling into a dream about BeastBoy and I, I felt a hand stroke my cheek. My eyes instantly flew open startling a surprised BeastBoy. "What are you doing?" I asked slapping his hand and sitting up. "I I I jjust gott bback and I wwas looking for yyou." BeastBoy said stuttering. "And why did you have to stroke my cheek while I was sleeping, you could've just woken me up." I said. duh. "I could've, but you look too pretty when you sleep." I started to blush furiously I slowly reached back and tired to pull my hood up but BeastBoy grabbed my arm and stopped me. "Raven." BeastBoy said as I looked into his emerald green eyes that I have come to love. I started to lean in and so did he, but I stopped myself. "Uh I need to go meditate." I said as I pulled my arm out of his grasp and speed walked out of the room.

BeastBoy P.O.V
She rejected me, again!!! I saw the blush and I was leaning in and so was she, but she keeps stopping. I think this has more to do than just not being ready to date me. Maybe I should do it now just to get it off my chest. I nodded as I walked to my room and got my new guitar. I sighed and mustered all the confidence I had to walk down the hallway to Raven's room.

Raven P.O.V
I ran the rest of the way to my room and shut the door. Looking around the familiar surroundings I relaxed. I need to stop rejecting him, but it's the only way to keep him and me safe. I know this breaks my heart but I swore that I would never let myself be led on by a guy. Last time I did that I fell in love with a dragon and almost got killed. Great first date. I settled into a lotus position and began repeating my mantra. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos, Azarath Metrion Zinthos, Azar." I stopped when I heard a knock at my door. I sighed and got back down on the ground. I walked to the door and opened it to see BeastBoy.... with a guitar. "Raven, I wrote a song for you."
