"Girl where have you been? Your 10 minutes late."
Siena says as you approach the table with a tray of food.
"I'm sorry girls, Mr. Lockwood made me stay in" You say hoping they would buy it.
"Ugh he pisses me off, common sit" Taylor says
You sit with your heart beating as your friends start talking drama that's been going around school.
You turn around looking over the cafeteria looking if you can spot Grayson, your nerd boyfriend in the crowd.
"Y/N?! What are you looking at" Siena yells up at me
"Nothing" you say turning back to your friends, poking at you food waiting for the bell to ring since you and gray planned a picnic hangout.
All day you have been thinking about Grayson being worried about him.
The bell suddenly rings which leaves you sighing in relief knowing you can leave and see him.
"Bye guys" you smile at your friends Siena, Taylor and Violet.
They have been your best friends since 1st grade when you were all bonding and have been together ever since. They could be pretty petty but they're your friends.
You rush through the halls, pushing over to get out of the rave fest in the hall. But make it past running out of the school towards the park near Grayson's house.
As you make it over you see Grayson sitting there as usual wearing his dark black nerdy glasses and his button up top.
You sneak up behind him, covering his eyes.
"Guess" you giggle
"Um a really pretty girl that happens to be my girlfriend" He says
"Sure" You chuckle
You sit next to him putting your head on his shoulder. You plant a kiss on his cheek.
"I missed you today" you say
"Missed you more" He says pulling up his glasses cutely.
You grab out bags of chips giving Grayson his favorite, Doritos. And your hot Cheetos.
"Thank you" he smiles softly as you both held each others hands on the benches.
You suddenly hear a loud truck behind you guys which makes you turn around.
Your eyes widen as you see Taylor, Sienna, Violet and the 3 most popular boys, Jake, Ty and Jeremy.
"Shoot"
"Grayson get your stuff, we need to go" You panic
"What, why" he looks at you worried
You lick your lips. "They are here" you give him a look letting him know who it is.
"Oh" he says putting his stuff away
"Gray I'm sorry I ruined this hangout" u say
"Y/N, is that you" ty yells
"Shoot" you turn around seeing your friends looking you.
"And your with him?" Ty says
This is exactly what you were afraid of. The boys knew if you hung out with the nerds it makes you looks stupid. They usually beat the nerds up which you scared of what was going to happen to gray. You tried everything to protect him and your relationship but now it's about to get revealed.
Ty walks up to Grayson who looks terrified.
You stood in front of gray putting arms up to protect him.
"Ty leave him" you yell
"Who???Your precious boyfriend, y/n?"
"This dwebe?" Ty looks up and down at Grayson
Ty starts to get closer which you take in action
You stand in front of him pushing him back from coming towards Grayson.
"Ty please don't hurt him" you cried
He pushes you roughly and grabs Grayson's collar.
He pushes him up the wall tearing off his glasses.
"STOP" you yell getting back up in pain rushing towards Grayson
Grayson flinches looking teary eyed.
It hurt you to see him in pain especially in front of you.
Ty quickly starts punching gray in the face leaving red cuts and blood across Grayson's face.
Grayson starts to punch him back also leaving ty some blood
You finally get in between them, dragging ty down leaving you on top of him.
"Never touch him again you douche" you slap him
You fall back up on your feet rushing towards Grayson on the floor with blood across his shirt and cuts on him cheek.
"I'm so sorry Gray " you cry, holding his cheek looking in his eyes.
His breath is shaking while his eyes are on you.
Ty runs back in the truck as everyone stares.
He cleans your tears away
"I'm ok y/n, it's fine, I'm fine"
You hug him tightly. Trying to find his glasses which you find a bit cracked.
You sigh as you pick them up heading towards Grayson helping him up to get in the Uber you ordered.
You try and put him in as you close the door with him beside you.
You grab his hand, giving him a soft his on his lips.
You felt so bad dragging him into this.
——-after the car ride——
You help Grayson up into your house and into your bathroom.
You grab band-aids, cotton balls and rubbing alcohol hoping to sanitize his cuts on his face.
"I'm sorry again gray, I was trying to get you away from them but I couldn't" you put your head down
Grayson grabs your hand telling you it's not your fault.
You smile cleaning up the mess trying to clean his cuts.
You both spend the rest of the day watching movies and chilling.
Grayson suddenly fell asleep. You look at him softly sleeping innocently. You knew you loved him. Even if he was a nerd.
You knew you needed to leave your friends after this and this time for good, for Grayson.
