you sigh basically wanting to tear the papers in your hand apart.
"You okay?"

"no I got all this damn work and now I just wanna-"
you cut yourself off by seeing your crush, Grayson Dolan.
Probably dropping off some papers to the teachers.
you clear your throat focusing back on your work.
Grayson, your crush.
Both of you went to elementary together and used to be good friends.
but drifted off as time went by on and on.
He doesn't talk to you much anymore.
Only if your run into each other going home.
But that was pretty rare making this crush more difficult.
you snap out of your thoughts going back into the pile of papers doing your work once again.

Finally it was lunch the best time of the school day so far.
get to have a break from all that stupid work and secretly stare at Grayson. Not in a creepy way tho.

Your friends all say as you take a seat on one of the benches.

You smile hugging all of them one by one.
you take your seat grabbing the granola bar out of your bag and your phone.

you scroll down your socials and Instagram just passing through people's from schools profiles.

You see a couple of pictures of him and some other random things making you blush just looking at it.
you look up scanning the lunch area, spotting him laughing with his friends and teasing him about something.
you look back down seeing his bio now different than last months.

your blush immediately goes from a smile to a frown in a short period of time.
he has a girlfriend?
You start questioning everything at that moment.
"Earth to y/n"
Your friend Dallas waves in your face.
"Huh, sorry just daydreaming"
You say exiting the profile and turn the phone off.
Your phone clicks pressing the close button and placed it inside your pocket.
"I think Grayson just asked out s/r/n like yesterday, did you know?" She smiled
"Oh really, that's cute"
Your fake smile came out.
you look over at him hanging out with his friends and twin brother Ethan.
then see some girl being pushed to go near him. Guessing that's her.
She had black short hair and bangs with matched with her caramel skin tone. Skinny body and an outgoing look.
You fake smile stays hard on feeling like your gripping onto it now.
For sure he deserves her. She's really pretty.
the bell rings signaling class is about to start.
You sigh getting up off the benches and back inside.
-after school-
You laugh pushing your friend at her quirkiness while listening to some 'betrayed'
Out of the corner of your eye forward you see Grayson and her.
They're laughing and talking in the hallway causing your face to go blank.
"Heyy"
r/g/n comes towards Dallas and hugs her.
They greet each other leaving you awkwardly there.
You look up seeing Grayson giving a slight smile he looked so happy.
You smile at them leaving w/ your friend.
If only you said something sooner and confessed even if it was for a shot.
But chickening out and being too insecure you didn't which made you disappointed.
You turn around for a swift second seeing them arms wrapped around one another and laughing.
Regret came towards you.
you regretted being too insecure to talk to him.
You regretted your crush on Grayson Dolan.
But you didn't regret his happiness.

Rest In Peace to Sean Dolan.
He's in a better place now and he truly loved his family dearly.
I'm really sorry for their loss I can't imagine how they are feeling rn. Stay strong he's resting in no pain now.
