Longing For Your Love

~ Avi’s POV ~

“Hey Lily! I need to tell you something.” I said quietly at dinner.

Lily is my beautiful and wonderful roommate. She is sweet and caring. I want her to be my girlfriend but I don’t know if she will like me back and I don’t want to ruin our friendship.

“Avi, I called your name five times. Are you okay?” Lily asked me, very concerned.

“Oh sorry. I umm…” the words just left my mind.

“Need to tell me something?”

“Ah…yes. I’m going out with the guys tonight so don’t wait up. We can see the movie tomorrow.” I lied.

I hate lying to her but I can’t tell her, not yet.

“Oh okay…” She said slightly disappointed.

~ Lily’s POV ~

Avi is going out with the guys tonight even though we had some plans? This makes no sense. Avi is too nice to lie.

Here is something you don’t know about me: I love Avi. I hate being his roommate because I am so close but so far away. I have been contemplating on telling him my feelings but I think I should have a little fun with it. I decided to write a mysterious note.

     My dearest Avi,

I love you. I want to tell you this for a long time but never got the courage to. So here it goes: Avi, I have loved you since we met and from then on I loved every second of being with you. To me you are my other half, my sun, and my light. Please meet me tonight at Lightning’s’ Club tomorrow night around 8:30. I’m dressed in blue. See you there.

I finally feel good with this and sealed it and put his name on it.

“Avi!” I yelled as I exited my room.

Avi’s head popped around the corner like a kid.

“Yes? What’s up?” he asked.

“Someone wrote you a letter.” I replied while placing the letter in his hand.

“Thank-you!”

“No problem. I hope you have fun with the guys. I might hang out with Kirstie.” I told him.

“Okay. Have fun.”

~ Avi’s POV ~

I had to reread this letter from the girl.

“Good bye Avi. See you later.” I heard Lily yell from downstairs.

Sleep didn’t come easy that night but it came very slowly.

“Avi! Wake up.” Lily said shaking me.

Great! I fell asleep on the couch.

“Hey Lily? In my letter I received, the person wants me to meet them at a club tonight. Should I go?” I asked.

“Ooh! Go, they don’t want to be stood up and you are too nice to do that.” She replied.

“I don’t know. I guess…”

“Yay! Now go and find something decent. You want to look good.”

~ Lily’s POV ~

“Hey Kirstie! I found a way to tell Avi how I feel but now I need help on finding the perfect dress.” I tell her.

“That’s great! Well I have the two people I can trust dress shopping with…”

“Scott and Mitch.” We said in unison.

~ Later that day ~

“Guys, this is the dress.” Mitch stated.

“Totally, you look amazing.” Scott added.

“Thanks for all your guys help. I love you guys.”

“We love you too!”

~ Avi’s POV ~

Hair? Great. Wallet? Check. Keys? Check. Clothes? Amazing.

“Bye Lily see you later.” I called out.

No response.

Oh well she still might be with Kirstie. I thought to myself.

When I finally arrived at the club, it was packed. I went in and waited till it was 8:35. I started to look for this mysterious girl in blue.

After about five or so minutes of looking I finally found her. She’s so beautiful. I might just ask her to dance.

“Hi…umm. You wrote this letter. It was wonderful. I…” She turned around. “Lily?”

“Avi!”

“Lily. I...I love you too.” I tell her.

“Really? I love you more.”

“Wanna dance?” I asked her.

“Sure.” She replied.

We danced all night and kissed every now and then. I finally have the girl of my dreams.
