My Real Imaginary Friend

When you are an only child and don’t really have any friends, you create one. They have the traits you want them to have to make the perfect friend. This is what Mitch did. Mitch made his friend sweet, strong, kind, and loving, and the features came together on its own.

Once Mitch was fifteen years old, his parents thought that Mitch was getting too old for imaginary friends so they told him to make real friends.

~ Mitch’s POV ~

I’m a sophomore in high school and I never had real friend so I just kept to myself.

As I was walking down the hall to my math class, I was shoved into some lockers.

“Haha! Is the loser okay?” someone asked sarcastically.

“Go away Michael.” A kid with blonde hair said sternly to the other boy.

“What is Scotty going to do? He’s just a nerd.” Michael retorted.

“This.” The blonde said before grabbing him by the collar and slammed him against the locker. “I’m not so weak and nerdy as you think. Now, leave him alone.”

Michael nodded and went on his way.

I look up at the blonde. He seems so familiar.

“I’m sorry about Michael. I’m Scott by the way.”

He seems so familiar. I thought to myself.

“I’m Mitch. I ummm…sorry but you seem familiar.” I said shyly.

“Oh really?” he asked. “Well let’s get you off the floor.”

He lifted me up with ease.

So strong.

“Do you want me to walk you to class?”

“S-sure.” I said with a smile.

Kind and sweet.

“Oh my gosh! You are my imaginary friend!” I exclaimed.

He laughed and slightly nodded.

I finally have a friend who was once my imaginary friend.

I am so sorry if this one shot was terrible. I just wanted to get some new material up. Please message me if you have any one shot ideas. Anyways, I am thinking about doing another book but I need some help. Should I do an PTX/Scomiche story or should I write based on a prompt I have written or given?
