Day 9: Sing Christmas carols

~ Scott's POV  ~

As a group decision, the band decided to go and sing Christmas carols, but not as everyone thinks. We all got dressed up in our style but still match somehow (we all know it was Candice though).

We went over the list of about six or seven songs to sing and headed out to the truck. Once we got to the destination we all got out and stood on the miniature stage, which was attached to the stage. Darrien started turning on all the lights and plugged in the speakers and handed us microphones.

We started out with our set with the medley we did for Barney's Holiday Campaign as Darrien and Esther slowly began to drive through the neighborhood.

It was kind of awkward because we weren't singing to anyone in particular, but after a few minutes people started to come out of their houses. Some knew who we were, some didn't and wanted to see what we could do, and some who just didn't care and went back into their homes which was fine.

By our third song, Darrien has stopped the truck and just let everyone gather around the little stage. Everyone was singing along and the atmosphere felt great. We even got some people to sing with us or sing themselves. It was an amazing experience and I was living for it.

For our last song, we sang I'll Be Home For Christmas and we all were moved by the song. Even though we all come from different backgrounds, we are still family and when we are together, it feels like home. So yes, we go home to SoCal or Texas or Kentucky, but home is also in LA when we are together.

By the end of the song, Mitch began tearing up but completed the song beautifully. Afterwards I then pull Mitch into a kiss and everyone was cheering and hollering. We pull a part, with our foreheads still pressed against each other, smiling.

"I love you Mr. Grassi-Hoying."  Mitch whispered to me.

"And I love you Mx. Grassi-Hoying." I said back.

      For now and always.
