Double Trouble

chapter 23

Recap: "BECAUSE IM IN LOVE WITH YOU AND I NEVER STOPPED. AND I DONT WANT TO LOSE YOU AGAIN. "

In any other context, the words that left his mouth would sound cheesy, or so for as an exaggerated version of his feelings.

But when he spoke these words, well more so screamed, he was concentrating on one thing.

Not to cry.

His eyes were squeezed shut, but the tears were streaming down his face on his flushed cheeks.

It was silent now. The only sounds are heavy breathing and sniffling. He turned his back towards me and wiped his tears.

" misa... You are everything that I ever wanted." He whispered, his voice shaky and soft. He looked at me, his head turned sideways form his forward position, and let out a breath.

I felt the heat flood my neck and I could sense that I was on the verge of tears. I stared at my shoes, completely speechless. But somehow the words flowed off the tongue so easily. " y-you won't lose me again...I promise." I whispered. My voice cracked and it was shaky. " I-I always loved you, and I always will. But I always thought you never loved me because when you left and how you left. I always thought you loved me for sex and I - I " I studdered. My eyes streaming a river of tears. My lungs gasping for air as I hyperventilate and choke on the words spilling out of my mouth. My true feelings are being expressed, and are not masked with anger. I always fought through my issues, literally, and today I actually expressed hep i felt for the past two years.

He turned around slowly and inched toward me. I still kept my eyes glued to the floor. He grabbed my hands tightly. " dont say that. Dont say that. I love you for you. Trust me on that." He croaked as he tried to swallow back his tears and the crack in his voice.

Pause. Silence.

He inched closer and I knew that if I looked up, he was going to kiss me, and for some reason I was nervous. Like the first time. Like the first day.

I hesitantly flickered my eyes from the ground to his orbs. The sadness of his eyes turned from a dark color, to a mixture of green and browns washing and overlapping eachother.

His hand carefully carressed my cheek then cupped it. My fingers trailed from his muscular arm to the cleft of his chin and along his bottom lip. He closed his eyes and began to breath heavily.

He opened them back up and looked at me. His eyes flickered at the features on my face. Like he was figuring me out.  "Second chance?" He whispered and I smiled and slowly pressed my lips against his. It was slowly and passionate. The most passionate kiss ive experienced.  That we ever had. Usually it was filled with lust and wanting, but this... This was love. And I knew it. He knew it.

Our kiss deepened as it went, but I soon released. " can we take it slow... Please?" I whispered. Our foreheads were pressed together and his eyes were closed, as he breathed heavy. He opened his eyes slowly and stared into my eyes. Then he nodded slowly with a smile.

" I love you." He whispered.

And thats how it started. And that's how it will be
