chapter 42

Misas POV

I gazed at the tan muscled physique in front of me. His hair wet due to the rain and his face soft. His eyes lit up as soon as they landed on me and his mouth parted. He turned back to the car and waved him away and the car drove off, just leaving us alone.

"Wh-what are you doing here?" I inquired and I felt the tears starting to appear. He hesitated and swallowed stepping closer to me, but I backed away keeping a distant.

His face went mellow and he studied my features carefully. "Why are you here?" I questioned again, trying to keep a unrelenting tone. "I came for you." He said wholeheartedly and projected a weak smile. "Why?" My voice began to crack at his response but I tried to conceal it with a curt manner.

The rain began to pour even more and I was experiencing deja vu. He stepped to me slowly, towering over me and began to explain.

"Why did you leave me?" He pressed, his voice calm with a hint of sadness. "Because you need have a better life...without me." I squeaked out and he shook his head. "My life is better with you in it." He replied and i shook my head. "I'm only making it worse. Me being in your life... I'm making it crumble." I stated quietly and truthfully. He shook his head. " no."

" Misa I love you. I will always love you. Until my heart stops beating, until I take my last breath. And nothing will  change that..." He spoke loudly through the roaring rain. "No. You cant. I'm no good for you." I began to cry and i shook my head. He stepped closer and grabbed my hand.

"I don't care. I rather die than lose you again. Just- Please come back." He voice was silent at the end and my vision became blurred. "Come back? I'm in Jersey now Grayson...I left school. and you live in California, this wont work." I spoke trying to contain myself.

" I don't care! I dont care where we are. As long as we are together...  You are my home misa." He declared and his voice was shaky. "I can't! You know I cant!" I began to raise my voice and I back away pulling from his grasp.

"I-I don't love you anymore." I lied, thinking maybe he will let me go.

"Since when!?" He yelled and I swallowed. "Since now. Just now " I blinked away the tears and took a breath. "Go! Just please go!" I cried and he shook his head. "No! Goddammit misa talk to me! Tell me how you feel!" He yelled and i flinched.

"I dont feel anything." I lied again. I needed him to let me go. For his sake. He laughed slightly "there you go again! Pretending not to feel."

"I feel! Okay? And it sucks Grayson! It fucking sucks. I feel like everything i do isnt good enough for you. That maybe what we have is only temporary and I'm scared of that! I'm scared that I wont meet your needs and i will always bee a fuck up!" I screamed at him, tears streaming down my face.

He was silent.

"I can't... I can't do this. Do you now how hard it is for me to think that maybe I'm an embarrassment and a disappointment to you. That I'm no good for you and all I do is obliterate everything in my awakening." I choked out and I turned away from him. "You have to let me go." I whispered and he grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him.

"No! I'm not letting go! And you can try to push me away all you want, but in the end I will always be here with you." He cried gripping my arms.

"Goodbye Grayson." I said but he kept dragging me back. "Goodbye? So this is how you want to end?" He bang to cry and I shook my head. "Of course not Grayson, but like i said, we are just a story without no end... But maybe this is our ending, not a happily ever after." I pushed and he kept shaking his head in denial.

"No! Do you know how hard it was for me to leave you before. God i hated myself... It took me too long to realize that I left the love of my life for a stupid reason.. Dont make that mistake! I can't lose You again!" He yelled at me, his veins becoming prominent and his eyes swollen from crying. "Grayson just please go... I need you to leave..." I choked out and wiped away my tears, feeling my stomach turn and my heart drop.

"Please... I dont want our story to end Like this." He whispered, tears escaping his ducts and rolling down his damp cheeks. I shook my head "Im sorry " I whispered. I released from his grasp and I began to walk away.

But then he screamed something out that caught my attention, that I never expected...And from him...

"Marry me!"

I turned around slowly, in shock. And faced him once again. "Wh-what?" I croacked and he smiled. "Marry me."

He walked towards me and pulls out a black satin box from his pocket and begins to speak.

"It was the first time that I saw you, that I knew you would impact my life. That you would set me free from who I used to be. And you did. I felt safe, I felt peaceful, and I felt like myself. I felt good, I felt important, I felt love... Something I havent felt in forever. I know what I did to you back then was wrong, and I'm sorry.. But Ive never felt anything for anyone, besides you, which was weird for me. But No matter how hard you try to push me away Misa, I'm always going to come back, because you cant push me away.... I'm so in love with you... okay misa?" He said confidently. Tears formed in his eyes and his face was flushed. He was breathing heavy and his voice was shaky. And his eyes... They held love.

I looked at him, sobbing a river, and nodded my head. "I'm in love with you too." I whispered. He opened the box and it presented a big diamond. The most beautiful ive ever seen. My breath hitched and I was almost hyperventilating.

He got down on one knee, and quickly wiped away his tears. "I want to end how we started... In love. So will you do the extraordinary honor, in marrying me?"

My head became dizzy and my heart started to beat fast. My palms became sweaty and I felt shaky. And the answer flowed right out of my mouth just like I wanted it to.

"Yes!"

One more chapter, because i want to do a wedding chapter... Its necessary Yanno what i mean. Maybe even an epilogue about the future. :)))
