chapter 35

Graysons POV

It was almost midnight, and I have yet to know whether or not if misa is gonna be out soon.

I have never saw her in the way I perceived her earlier today. Her anger, her violence, the way she looked and acted towards Sarah. She almaot beat her to death. Ive seen her fight before, but never like this. This was different.

I heard the door open and shut and I looked up and saw Ethan. "Is everything okay?" I asked concerned and he sat down on his bed and folded his hands together. "Cameron bailed her out." He said and I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I rose to my feet and immediately headed to misas dorm.

I knocked on it 3 times and waited. I knocked once more then I heard the locks being unlocked.

"Grayson wh-" "wheres misa?" I interrupted and pushed oassed her slightly and let myself in. I noticed the room looked a bit empty than normal and furrowed my brows together. "She-she went to go get some food." She studdered and I new she was lying. "Her car is out in the lot." I pressed and she swallowed and her face became red. "Ana... Where's misa?" I pushed and she spit out another lie. "She took a cab, she went to get food."

I shook my head and looked at the open and bare closet. No clothes. No nothing. "Where did she go? Ana answer the fucking question?" I yelled and she flinched. She walked over to her desk and took out a folded piece of paper out of the drawer. She handed it to me..."I wasnt suppose to tell."

Dear Grayson,

By now you would have noticed that I haven't been around, or maybe someone told you, and that's okay... But I'm gone...

Me leaving you was like a tsunami. The wave of emotion it caused destroyed everything inside of me in a single horrifying second. It washed away every last piece of evidence of what we had and what we built on the foundation of our love. And I'm sorry for leaving only a trail of destruction behind for you to dust away.

But I only left for your benefit. For you to live a long and happy life, without me. To chase after opportunities, to find someone who makes you truly happy, and to not worry about me.

But my love for you will never vanish, though I am empty inside. My heart was cold but you warmed it, and I am eternally grateful. But there will always ne something about you that I'm afraid to lose, because I know I wont find it in anyone else. But I have to deal with that issue, even if it kills me.

But Maybe, what we had was  terminal.  Maybe that's all we'll ever be. An unfinished sentence, a half written novel. Finished, without an ending. But at some point, you just have to let go of what you thought should happen, and just live in what is happening.

I will always love you, until my last breath until my heart stops beating. Because I could never love someone as much as I loved you... But in order for me not to hurt you anymore, I have to stay away...

Please, promise me one thing... Dont do anything reckless. Dont do anything fucked up.

But this is my goodbye... And my last one. I love you, forever and always.

After reading those words, written in her handwriting, my whole world crumbled, and my heart shattered. She was gone. She was literally gone, and I couldn't even convince her to stay.

Tears streamed down my cheeks and dripped on the paper causing the ink to smudge a bit.

"She s-shes gone!??" I croaked out and I started hyperventilating. I started to freak out. "Shes gone!" I yelled and I fell to the ground and pulled my knees to my chest. "Shes gone!" I whispered to myself and started sobbing. "Grayson calm down." Ana reassured me and just those words caused me to flip out even more. " dont tell me to calm down! Misa is gone and I couldn't even have a chance to convince her to stay!" I started crying and yelling and I couldn't just syand the thought her gone.

"I'm gonna go get her." I stated and ana grabbed my arm and held me back. "She doesn't want you to follow her Grayson!" "I dont give a flying fat rats ass whether she wants me to follow her or not. I'm going to get her! Im not gonna lose her again!" I screamed and I exited the room.

I'm going to get her back.
