Chapter 2 : New Nose Job

Waking up was anything but easy the next day . There was no sun shining through the window. I heard my mom coming down the hall way knocking on my door . " Daniel ? Are you up can you start getting ready for school " She said from the other side of the door. I groaned under the sheets , but then got up out of the bed . "Yes mom I'm getting ready " I replied . I heard her do the same thing to Evelyn . 

I had some difficulty looking for clothes to change into ,mainly because most of my stuff was still in my luggage . I ended up in a white shirt , a green and black flannel , black jeans , my leather jacket and black Vans . "Danny are you wearing clothes ? I don't want to barge in and see something I don't ever want to see"Evelyn said from the other side of the door . I chuckled to myself . "Your clear "I replied throwing on a black hat.  

She walked in wearing black skinny jeans ripped at the knees, a white shirt with a red and black flannel , a leather jacket and white converse ,a beanie on her head and her camera hanging around her neck with a strap . "What do you think is it good enough ?" she asked . "It looks like what you usually wear so i guess its ok "I teased . She huffed aloud ."Jerk " she murmured . "Kids breakfast is ready come eat "Mom yelled from downstairs  .

Evelyn and I looked at each other . We were extremely competitive against each other . Evelyn suddenly pushed me to side, running to the door ."What the hell Eve !" I exclaimed  running out the room. I could hear her laughing as she raced down the stairs . I ran as fast as her , nearly passing her while trying to avoid falling down the stairs . When we reached the bottom I gently shoved her into the wall . "Daniel !" She yelled . I beat her to the kitchen table sitting in a random chair , while catching my breath .

"I hate you so much sometimes "She said , sitting next to me . "No you don't "I replied , while eating some of the eggs on my plate . "You guys are still so competitive after all these years "Mom chuckled setting a plate in front of Evelyn. "Thanks mom , and we cant help it , its natural for siblings to fight over everything "She said . I nodded in agreement while shoveling food into my mouth .

One thing about my mother's cooking is that it's anything but horrible . I guess that's why my dad married her . "Anyway, I'm taking you guys to school in 10 minutes so hurry up and eat " she said . " Finished " I announced drinking the last of my orange juice . Evelyn stared at me ."Ogre" she mumbled finishing her juice and putting her dishes in the sink . I threw her backpack at her face and she caught it effortlessly.  She smirked at me . " What happend to being the star baseball player ?" She teased. "Hey that was back in California .  We're in Washington right now so let's forget the past and get on with the present "I shot back

California was home for me . I made state championship with soccer and baseball and track . But I couldn't compete because I moved here . Evelyn doesn't know but my dad Did . I was looking forward to getting my team up with soccer . I had already done so with baseball and track . But soccer was going to get me my scholarship for Pepperdine University.  Hopefully I can do it again with this new team .

The drive to the new school was weird . At first the GPS took us to an elementary and my mom got down and had to ask where the high school was . Evelyn took a picture of that embarrising moment from the car . 

And she kept taking pictures of the rainy sky . It was starting to get annoying ." Quit it munch "I said . She looked at me ."Quit being such a Debbie downer "she replied and kept taking pictures of the trees . I reached over and took the camera from her . "Give it back Danny " she complained.  "Stop taking pictures of this shit town " I told her .

"What the hell is your problem . Why are you being such a douche " she asked.  "The clicking , the rain the sky ,everything about this town us bugging the crap out of me " I complained . " So ? Don't take it out on me you dick " she snatched the camera back from my lap . Before I could react mom came back into the car .

"So the school is further down the street from the elementary school "She complained starting the car . Everyone is just complaining today . "This school is weird " Evelyn commented. "This town is weird " I mumbled . My mom gave me a look ."Daniel "She started .

"Yeah I know mom . This isn't what we expected but we are just gonna have to live with it right?" I complained . "Hey just cause your in a bad mood doesn't mean you can be a dick to mom ,asshole " Evelyn retorted . "Evelyn watch your language "mom said .

We got to the school really late .Mom took us inside to the main office . The lady at the main desk was old , maybe her 50s and had an odd shade color of red hair and was wearing glasses that made her look older . "May I help you ... wait .... Natalia? Is that you ? I haven't seen you in years how are you " she said . By the looks of it , she knew my mom . My mom smiled "Anna .. how are you ? It's been a while huh " she said in disgust . Mom looked liked she was uncomfortable .

"I'm good . Are these your kids? " Anna asked staring us down . "Yes this is Daniel and this is Evelyn "mom introduced us . "Oh how lovely . Evelyn looks just like you when you were younger " Anna complimented . I nudged Evelyn to say something nice back and she gave me a look like she was annoyed with me in which I smirked at her .

"Well I have to go to work I already delt with everything over the phone the other day all they need are their classes " my mom said in a hurry . "Of course they will be in great hands  " Anna said . And with that we left alone .

"So kids I have all your classes here , just come through and I'll have someone from ASB escort you and show you around "She said . In a matter of 5 minutes a bit who looked to be around my age came up to us . " Hey you guys are the new kids right ? I'm Ash , follow me " he said .

Ash was my height with pale-ish skin , had blue gray eyes and blonde hair , he looked muscular , but I never judge a book by its cover . As soon as we got out into the hall way he took both mine and Evelyn schedule from our hands . "Hey ! Don't I need that ? " Evelyn said . "Well sweet heart I kinda need it right now so I can see where I'm taking your pretty ass to" he replied . She raised her eyebrows . " First thing you gotta know about me , is that I don't play games . So why don't you take your ego "pretty boy " and shove it up your ass and just show me where my class is with out being a complete dick about it  " she ranted . He stared at her like someone just told him that his face wasn't pretty enough .

I on the other hand was amazed at her . Last year she was the shy kid who was behind a camera and president of year book . Never did I imagine her to be like this . "Fine here"he said giving her back her schedule " May I suggest that when you go to your first class is to fix the nasty attitude problem you have "he finished . "Oh really? may I suggest that you get a new nose job after I fuck your nose up with my fist " She almost lunged at him ,  but not before I grabbed her . Ash scooted backwards trying to get away from her .

"Hey chill the fuck out where is this shit coming from ?" I asked her when I set her back on the ground . She sighed "I just don't appreciate asshole like him "She replied . I stared at her . "We will talk later " I told her . I turned back to face Ash who looked dumbfounded . "So Ash where are out classes ?" I asked in a light tone . "You both have ASB with me "he said .
