Quick note : I know you guys dont particularly like the POV changes . But keep in mind , this is both Daniel and Evelyn's story . It's their transition to a whole new city and new school . Their experiences are going to be different . They have their own battles that need to be fought that needs to be shared through their eyes . Hence the POV changes . Any ways thats it for my little FYI , now back to the story <3
Daniel's POV
"So that's why ladies , you should be aware of where you buy your cosmetics from " the Agriscience teacher says . I hear some girls groan in disgust . The bell rings signalling the end of class . Anna and I already packed up our things so we rush out of the class along with the rest of our class . After getting our food we find Cat sitting inside the cafeteria ,talking on the phone with someone . "Hey Cat " I greet her . I hear her whisper a " gotta go bye " and she hangs up .
"Talking to another boy are we ?" Anna teases taking her seat nex to her . "Ooh a boy tell me all the deets girl. Is he cute ? Is he tall ? Whats his eye color ?" I say in my best girly voice . They start laughing so hard that I think Anna snorts . "No I was talking to Tony . He went home early" she says between chuckles . "Tell him to check up on our frankenstien friend " Anna says as she bites into her chicken tenders .
" Sure , as if Daniel would be ok with that " Cat responds taking half of Anna's cookie . "Hey get your own cookie , theft " Ana protest . "Honestly I wouldnt care if they were alone I trust Tony not to do anything Eve doesnt want to do " I say taking a drink of my water . I mean sure I didn't like how nice he was to her when we first moved here . But after hanging out with almost every day since we moved here I learned that he isn't a bad guy .
Cat raises an eyebrow and looks at me "Really ?"."You were the one who told Danny to trust him don't turn into a hypocrite Cat " Anna says. "Hey guys " a forgien voice says . We look up to meet eyes with Valentina and two of her cheerleaders . I almost immedietly notice how uncomfortable Cat gets . "What do you want this time Val ?" Anna says , clearly irritated . " Oh calm down Annalisa . I was just going to invite you guys to my party this saturday " Val says witha look in her eyes that makes me uncomfortable .
As soon as she leaves , I look at the girs . "No way in heaven or hell am I going to the she devil's party " I say in an agitated voice , "Neither are we . Oh hey I was gonna tell you, that there are soccer try outs this wednesday , Tony is gonna go too " Cat says . My ears perk up at the mention of soccer . I used to be the captin at my old school and we made it to State Championships and won . We were gonna go to Nationals but I moved and they got a new team captin .
"Im in "i say taking a sip of my water . "We figured weren't you the captin of your old team back in California ?" Anna asks . I tense up at the mention of California . It still makes me upset when ever I think about it ."Um , uh , yeah me and Eve were , but California is just kind of a touchy subject for us " I said paying no attention to their facial expressions .
Friday Night
"So what did you get for number 14 ?" I asked Anna . It was 8:30 on Friday night , the night of Satan's daughter , aka Valentina , party . Anna and I were at my kitchen table doing our history homework . It was a kinda last minute desicion to meet up tonight . Anna was wearing one of my white T Shirts and her black volleyball shorts .
Before I continue , I want to clarify that we did not have sex . Like I said it was a last minute desicion . She walked here after volleyball practice in her practice uniform . Her shirt got a new accessory by a bird that flew above her . When she told me I coudn't contain my laughter . Which resulted in her smacking me upside the head asking for a shirt to borrow .
"Revolutionary war . It's in the book dumbass "she said , muttering the last part . "How is it that the AP History and the regular History classes do the same home work " I mention . "Its cause the teacher that we have is to lazy to realize that he is teaching two different classes " she explains . Yeah it makes sense . Mr. Hieghts , who ironically is just a little taller than me , was extremely laid back.
"Where is your mom and Emmett anyway ?" She asks getting up to get something from the fridge . I get up to and jump up on the counter to sit down . "They went to the shop to take care of something " I say as I grab an apple from the fruit basket next to me . "What happend at the shop ?" she prys . "I guess some drunk guy tried to break in and broke one of the outdoor cameras " I answer biting into the apple .
"Ok so Fiji water or Tap water ?" she ask holding two different waterbottles . I scrunch my brows in confusion . "What's the damn difference ?" I ask in return . "I dont fucking know you have them here in your fridge " she complains putting back the Tap water in the fridge . I hear the front door open and Emmets voice .
"Who's here ?" he yells . "Me and Anna in the kitchen"I yell back . He walks through the kitchen door and sees our work sprawled out on the table . "Homework on a Friday night ? Why?" he asks . "Real answer or Sugar coated answer ?" Anna asks him in return . He actually thinks about it , but before he says anything else my mom yells "Real answer" from the living room . " We had nothing else fun to do that was legal " she says sarcastically .
"Isn't there a party going on on Cape May Street ?" My mom asks as she walks in . "How do you guys know about highschool parties ?" I ask no one in particular . "We drove past it on the way home "Emmett says taking out stuff to make speghetti . "You guys should go it will be fun " mom encourages .
Immediately I turn down the idea . "Um I dont know mom , I mean we have some work to fin-" Im cutt off my mom . "Daniel stop being a stick in the mud , the work will be here tomorrow. Go go get dressed . Anna take no shame in going in Evelyn closet and picking something out " She urges and litterally pushes us out the kitchen . As we walk up stairs Anna says " Your mom is very pushy dont you think ?" . I nod in agreement " Extremely " .
A half hour later im sitting in the living room ,waiting for Annalise , scrolling through my instagram feed . "Nice fit Danny " I hear Emmett compliment . I was wearing a white short sleeve button up with the first two buttons undone , some black jeans and black and white converese . The shirt barely showed the one word tattoo on chest . Not that I was ashamed of it . It held sentimental value . Evelyn had a matching one on her fore arm .
"Thanks Emmett " I reply . " So your mom told me to let you borrow the truck so here are the keys . Please dont get drunk , if you do call me I dont care if it 3 in the morning . I wont tell your mom " he states . Wow . Emmett has never shown that he cared like that before . "Will do but just for future reference Im not the type to drink " I tell him . "Alrighty then here are the keys and I'll tell Evelyn to go too when she gets back from where ever she is with that boy " He says throwing me the keys to his car.
Evelyn and Tony were at a nearby park with the dogs . I guess it was a date but then again I dont know . "Ok so I didnt really notice but Evelyn has a decent sense of fashion " I hear Anna say as she walks down the stairs . She was wearing a black long sleeve croptop that has bat like sleeves , white pants and black sandals. She has has half of her hair in a messy bun and the rest is left down .
My mom comes out from the kitchen and notices us ready . "Awe dont you guys look cute . Daniel , why didnt you do something with your hair " she complains . I left my hair how I had it ; messily styled . I didnt think it looked to bad. "Ok hun why don't we let them go now "Emmett says . I mentally cringed . "Your right you guys go have fun " she says rushing us out the door . Before we can even complain , the door is slammed shut . "Did she really just force us out the door ?" Anna asks as we walk to the car . " Yeah pretty much , sorry you got dragged into this by the way " I apologies .
It didnt really take that long to find the party . We basically followed the sound of the loud music coming from the house . Wended up in a nicer part of town . We passed by some masions and I immediately figured out the reason of Valentina's "I'm better than you " attitude . I parked a little bit down the street from the actual house seeing as almost the entire street was full .
"You ready ?" Anna asks taking off her seat belt . I looked back at her with a smirk while taking off my seat belt . "I'm stoked "
