"You saw a man in the hallway that looked out of place?" The principal leaned back in his black colored leather office chair. His hands clasped, looking at Jungkook. Yoongi came along with Jungkook too, just so he wouldn't be by himself.
"Yes sir.. I did. He looked like he was in maybe his mid 40's. He was wearing all black too and he just smiled weirdly at me. He was standing behind the doors that went into the cafeteria." Jungkook explained to the principal, remembering basically every detail about the man.
"Was he wearing a visitor badge or identification card?"
"No sir, he wasn't." Jungkook answered.
"And Yoongi, did you see this man at all? Were you a witness?" The principal asked Yoongi.
"No, sir. The only thing I saw was Jungkook get out of his seat and examine something outside the cafeteria doors carefully before shutting them." Yoongi said calmly.
"Alright well, we have security cameras and I can check over them to see if he's still in the school or how he got to the cafeteria doors." The principal got on his computer, going to the security cameras and checking them.
Jungkook sat in silence while the principal checked the cameras. Yoongi did the same, just looking around the principal's office. If that wasn't the most boring thing to look at ever— honestly. He could just look at Jungkook! That solved the problem!
Jungkook sat in the chair provided in front of the principal's desk, nervously chewing on his lip. He was so worried the man was still wandering around the school. How the hell was Jungkook supposed to know what this man would do? What if he kidnapped students or.. even worse.....
The younger felt a pair of eyes on him.. was it the principal? Jungkook looked up, seeing the principal was still watching camera footage. He then looked over to Yoongi, noticing it was the older boy looking at him. Yoongi quickly adverted his eyes to something else, licking his lips.
The principal cleared his throat, looking extremely serious or... angry. "Jungkook, I don't appreciate you making this up because we take these kinds of things serious."
What? What did the principal mean?
"But.. didn't you see him on there? I saw him hiding behind the doors..." Jungkook didn't make any of this up, and it was absolutely the truth.
"Look. There wasn't any man in all black on the camera footage from today. No man was behind the cafeteria doors. Now why are you telling me all this stuff when it's a lie, young man? Is this some kind of a prank you came up with or something?"
Jungkook blinked, glancing over to Yoongi for a moment. "No, this isn't a prank or a joke. I'm not lying... I saw a man clear as day.. please believe me.... you might be checking the wrong camera footage.." Jungkook's tone dropped sadly.
"Excuse me? You do not talk back to me that way. Don't get snarky. I checked the right tapes. No man, nothing at all."
Jungkook didn't talk back to the principal in any snarky way...
"Well, how is he supposed to communicate then by not talking back? By using charades or something?" Yoongi defended the younger.
"Did I ask for your input, Mr.Min?" The principal glared.
"No, but I thought it was necessary to say." Yoongi shrugged.
The principal was done. Done with this shit. "Both of you get out of my office right now. I will not tolerate this back mouthing. Don't ever come to me again with anything, Jungkook. If either of you open your mouth again you're suspended." He warned, waiting for the boys to leave.
Jungkook quickly got up, exiting out of the office. Now Jungkook was irritated. What the hell was all this for? Why was the principal being such a bitch?
Yoongi followed, keeping his mouth closed and catching up to Jungkook in the empty hallways. Jungkook went into the boys bathroom, thankful no one else was in there. He leaned up against one of the walls, crossing his arms and huffing loudly. Yoongi came in after Jungkook, seeing the boy have a look of irritation.
"I can't believe he didn't take my words as real. Do I seem like someone that would make something up like that? Am I one of the students he doesn't like? I'm sure if one of those popular bitches said what I did he'd take it more serious than a police officer reporting the problem. I swear I didn't make it up. I saw a man and that's the truth. He probably just didn't want to deal with it, and he probably didn't even check the cameras either. He probably pretended to do it." Jungkook ranted, Yoongi listening.
Yoongi would've been lying to himself if he didn't think Jungkook was hot when he was mad.
"You believe me.. right, hyung?" Jungkook looked over to the older boy.
"Of course I do. The principal just hates to be bothered and he's an asshole." Yoongi nodded, walking past Jungkook and opening up a window in the bathroom. "Also, I don't want to be in class today. Wanna come with me and say screw it?" Yoongi asked, jumping up and sitting on the window sill.
"So that's why you aren't in last period sometimes..." Jungkook came to the realization.
"Yeah, that's basically it. It's not like we learn anything good. Come on, let's escape prison until we can go home." Yoongi looked longingly outside. "Plus, the principal wouldn't care since we're not popular bitches."
Jungkook pondered Yoongi's offer for a few seconds. He was right, they didn't learn anything great. Their life was school and that's it. They hardly had time to explore the world before they got old.
"Ok, I will." Jungkook nodded.
Yoongi extended his hand. "Then grab my hand and let's go."
"You're acting like Peter Pan or something like that." Jungkook chuckled softly, grabbing Yoongi's hand and jumping onto the window sill.
"Maybe I am Peter Pan. Well, let's go Wendy." Yoongi joked, starting to walk with the boy outside once they escaped the bathroom through the window.
"Will you take me to Neverland?" Jungkook tiled his head to the side, looking at Yoongi.
"Sure." Yoongi lead the way, not really knowing where they'd end up— but as long as they were away from the school, that was all that mattered.
Jungkook liked this side of Yoongi, he missed it too much. He was amazed at how everything seemed to go back to the way it was... as if Yoongi never had a thing against Jungkook. He loved it.
Yoongi mentally congratulated himself for getting the younger boy to hold his hand.
He wanted to have time with Jungkook alone, without Taehyung getting pissed at how 'close' he was to the other boy. He needed to make up all the time he lost with Jungkook, and why not start now?
A/N: Thank you for 200 reads ❤️ I had a lot of ideas come into my head for where I want to go with this book, that's why I've been publishing a lot!
