Taehyung gulped, making a slight noise in the deadly silent classroom.
No pun intended, but, it really was dead silent because someone had died.
Taehyung knew who.
Everyone else did too.
Rosè was sitting in the back of the classroom, swallowing her tears.
She didn't want to look at the desk beside her because that's where Jennie sat.
Her best friend.
That she didn't get to say goodbye to.
She couldn't believe it.
Really.
All of a sudden her best friend died from suicide?
She...she didn't understand.
"So class.. this is a very dark time for all of us. Please be considerate and look out for the people around you. You never know what they could be going through.." The teacher spoke somberly, sighing afterwards.
Taehyung tilted his head down and stared at his hands. All he could see was guilt.
He went to the bathroom many times and he could never wash it off.
Ever since Jennie's "suicide" occurred, Taehyung hasn't been the same.
He's been silent.
He hasn't talked to anyone.
If the teacher would call him, he wouldn't respond.
Same with his friends.
Seokjin, Namjoon, Hoseok, and Jimin.
If the four of them tried to get his attention he wouldn't even glance at them.
And honestly, he had no idea where the hell Yoongi and Jungkook were.
That alone scared him.
"A ceremony held for Jennie will be held today after school, I would advise you come to show some respect." The teacher continued with their words.
Until Rosè butted in.
"SH--SHE DIDN'T COMMIT SUICIDE!!!" Rosè was wailing, face all red and puffy, eyes filled with clear tears as she stood up from her chair to get everyone's attention.
"I KNOW SHE DIDN'T SHE WASN'T SUICIDAL!!! GOD, I WAS HER BEST FRIEND!" She mourned heavily.
"Ms. Park ple-" The teacher wanted to silence the girl.
"NO. NO NO NO!" She continued on.
"Listen! I knew Jennie ever since she was five years old and she had never been depressed or suicidal! I talked to her not long ago and she was perfectly fine! Someone did something to her-- and, excuse my language, but, I just know this whole 'she committed suicide' thing is bullshit!" Rosè caused the whole class to gasp.
"Alright miss park, that's enough." The teacher intervened, making their words stern.
Taehyung started breaking down in his seat at Rosè's words. He was doomed.
Fuck this.
He left the classroom and began sprinting down the long and twisted hallways, wanting to go to the exit doors of the school. He couldn't stay here anymore. Otherwise he'd be haunted by Jennie's "suicide".
Or maybe he was already haunted.
He kept seeing Jennie's dead body on almost every floor of the school.
He shrieked the whole time.
All he heard in his mind was the word 'guilty' repeat over and over again.
Out of his peripheral vision, he swore he saw a dark figure that resembled Jennie.
"GET AWAY GET AWAY!" Taehyung clawed harshly at the front doors, wanting to get the hell out of there.
"You won't be able to escape the doors of a prison cell."
A/N: i hope everyone is doing well!
