CHAPTER 22

CLAUDIA'S POV

we reached the hospital and they immediately brought Joshua in to the operation teather.

"Thank you so much Charmaine for letting us know about Joshua even you guys broke up already, It is so kind of you" Julia said while crying

"No problem, I am willing to help, I will investigate more about the incident. How can he got into a accident when he is surrounded with guards, this makes no sense. I will look into it" Charmaine said.

"Thank you so much Charmaine but you don't have to, what you did just mean a lot already" I said while smiling at her. I told myself I will be strong for Joshua.

"Nahh, its not a big deal" she said while hugging me "This is the only way I can repay everything Joshua did for me, I am so grateful that Joshua had been a part of my life and now I am willing to help him" she said

I can see Charmaine has change a lot. She was an evil witch and now to an angel. Few hours passed and Brandon has came by.

"Sorry guys, Charmaine told me about the accident " Brandon said while hugging lolo.

"Thank you guys but I got to go. Don't hesitate to call me if you needed anything, I will inform you if I get any information about the accident" Charmaine said while hugging every one of us before she leaves.

Dad and lolo looked so worried. Lolo was standing near the window. Dad on the other hand weren't even talking to anyone. Julia tried to convince both of them. Lolo seems to  be chillen down a little but dad was not giving any respond.

I went to sit beside him and hand him some foods.

"Here dad" I said while looking at him but he wasn't responding.

"I know its not a very happy birthday for you but you have to brighten up a bit, Joshua will be fine.'' I said while smiling at him. He looked at me and said "I miss my son"

"I want him here, now" He said as his tears rolled down on his cheek.

"Dad, I told you everything is gonna be alright, he will be fine. Don't worry he will be back, I'm sure the doctor is gonna be all smile ears to ears when they come out from the operation teather" I said faking a smile. My eyes started to water a little. Dad's crying making me feel more weak. I sighed and look at him confidently.

Dad hugged me and said " you are not good in lying dear, I know we both miss him, I know you do. You don't have to control your sadness, let it all out, I am here for you''

I couldn't help but to cry, It is so hard to be strong when all you want to do is to cry. I told dad about what happened earlier. I told him that I already had the feeling that something bad was gonna happen.

"Its all my fault, I shouldn't have let him go" I told dad while crying

Dad sighed and said "It's not your fault dear, everything happens for a reason. Maybe there is something good that is gonna happen very soon" dad said while smiling at me. He took the food I gave and eat it. Somehow I made him smile and I was happy for that.

It has been 4 hours and Joshua still haven't come out from the operation teather.

Julia and lolo went home to have some rest. Lolo needs to take his medication and good rest. Julia decided to accompany lolo since she is the only one who could take care of lolo.

Dad and I stayed till Joshua comes out.

6 hours passed and the doctor finally came out.

"Reyes family?" She said while looking at the both of us.

"Yes" dad said

"I have a bad news and also a good news " she said and it made me more nervous.

" The good news is Mr Joshua is still alive but the bad news is he is in a state of coma due to the traumatic brain injury.

I knelt down in disappointment. I was hoping he'd be awake after the operation.

"Mrs uhm, Are you all right?" The doctor ask me. My head started to hurt and everything seems blurry to me. I could feel like my eyes is about to shut and I am about to drop on the floor. I blanked out and the next thing I know I was in the wad

"What happened?'' I asked dad who was sitting beside me.

"You fainted and the doctor is getting your report ready" Dad said while laying his head beside me. He looked disappointed just like me.

The doctor came in with a big smile on her face, That look was what I expected when she came out from the operation teather.

"How are you doing ms Fernandez?"

"Feeling better, I think I'm all alright." I said sitting up on the bed.

"Yes you are all alright in fact very healthy" she said while smiling

"What do you mean?" I was confused of her statement.

" You are 3 weeks pregnant ms Fernandez, Congrats" she said while smiling at me.

Dad immediately looked at me and smiled. His face brighten up as soon as he heard the news and he immediately hugged me. Its  a good news to celebrate but I was hoping Joshua was here to hear this. He would be so happy.

"Congrats Claui" dad said while smiling at me. He was definitely happy of the news "Its a happy birthday indeed" he said while laughing. I have atleast make him happy on his birthday.
