CHAPTER 23

CLAUDIA'S POV

It has been 6 days since Joshua's accident. He hasn't woke up yet. I have to be strong for him. Lolo and dad had been going to work like usual while Julia started her bussiness studies already. She always come to visit us in the hospital.

"Baby, Today is your 6th day here. You know how much I miss you? I hope you'll wake up soon" I said while laying my head on him.

//Knock knock//

Charmaine came by with some fruits.

"I heard someone's pregnant" she said while laughing.

"Yes I am, you look chubby a little" I said looking at her. She smiled and said "Well, You will be surprise but I'm 4 months pregnant"

"What? Are you serious?" I said looking at her belly.

"Ya" she said while giggling.

"Omg, congratulations!" I said while rubbing her belly.

"Its been tough hiding from everyone about my pregnancy. I finally got to tell everyone about it." She said while handing the fruits to me.

"You will have to eat a lot of fruits pretty" she said while laughing.

"Oh thanks"

"Anyways from what I have gathered, the accident was an expected one. Someone was planning to kill him and  I am not sure who" Charmaine informed.

"So you mean it happened all on purpose? Someone tried to kill him? Who could it be?" I asked charmaine.

"I am not sure, Joshua don't usually share his personal stuff with me. I think lolo or dad might know about it"

"Oh, thanks charmy.. I will just ask them later on"

We have been talking about pregnancy, foods and Joshua. It was actually fun talking to Charmaine. She was different from what I have expected.

"Thank you for visiting us Charmaine" I said while hugging her.

"Ain't mention, I have nothing to do at home anyways"

Dad and lolo came by in the evening bringing some foods for me.

"Hey honey, you should eat something , I got you some adobo and honey lemon your favourite" lolo said while passing the food

"Thanks, anyways I  wanted to ask if there is anyone that you think who'd target Joshua right now?" I said while eating

Dad looked at me in suspicious and said "what do you mean dear?"

"Dad! Stop lying. I know Joshua is running the Cobra and I want to know if anyone are after him?" I said while continue eating.

" He told you?" Lolo sighed and continue "I don't know dear but why would you ask?".

I told him what Charmaine told me. They were all in shock. Dad was so mad and almost break the table.

"Dad kalma! We need to find who is after him and I will try to call dante and the others with a plan" I confidently told them.

"You know womans are not allowed to run the gang aren't you?" Lolo said while looking at me.

"I know and I'm not. I am just helping Joshua to find the culprit as a girlfriend. I have been with him for a while now and I am carrying his baby,   I have the rights to know the person who made my Joshua in this condition" I said with full of confidence.

"But it's really dangerous, I don't want anything bad to happen to any of our woman in the family and now especially you're pregnant" Dad said while looking all sad.

"I know what happened in the past scares you now dad but I am very sure that I can handle this" I said while drinking my honey lemon.

Lolo stood up and said " well, if you insisted. We will be here to help you. Go on dear, we will teach you some self defence and tricks on how to face the enemy" I smiled and hug lolo. This is all I need right now. A good supportive lolo.

I called dante and told him to check the cctv nearby during accident and my suspect was the Chang. I even told him to see chang's activities during that same day that Joshua got into an accident. I even made an appointment with the guy that Joshua was suppose to be meeting that day.

If Joshua can't handle the enemy currently then I will have to substitute him. I will do anything to save him. He might survive this time but he will still get into this kind of incident again If I don't stop it now.
