CHAPTER 26

CLAUDIA'S POV

I'm glad Joshua had recovered. Im 2 months pregnant already and I love how so protective Joshua gets. I enjoyed being with Joshua. I told him what happened for almost a month without him. I even mentioned how Charmaine helped me to find the culprit.

"Baby so when are we gonna get married?" Joshua asked

"Hmm, not now. I don't wanna look preggy on my wedding dress. Maybe after our baby" I said.

"Okay then, what are you expecting? Baby boy or baby girl?" He asked again

"Girl like me, how about you?" I said

"Boy of course, to inherit my bussiness and everything'' he said.

"What if we got a girl?" I asked in curious

"Then I will take care of her like my own princess" He said.

We are really excited for the baby. Joshua even have a name ready already. He said if the baby is a girl, It will be Kiara and If its a boy it will be Rovind.

JOSHUA'S POV

I am so proud of my Claudia. She was so brave enough to fight for me. Her dad was a police officer and was also my dad's closest friend, Ronnie Fernandez. No wonder she was good with guns. Akshaya said she can be an actress and of course she'd believe her but she really do have the potential to be an actress. I saw her auditions for Abs Cbn, she nailed it. And of course she gets all the role she auditions because duh she is Joshua Reyes's girlfriend and mom to be to my kid. Ever since then, she has been busy with her current new movie. I kinda get jealous of the leading man sometimes but she wouldn't do anything bad and I trust her.

She also get to model for popular brands like Maybelline and Palmolive. In the morning she is a superwoman while at night she will torture me like an owl . I wouldn't even have time to sleep sometimes.

"Baby? Wake up!" Claudia said

"What is it?" I said while looking at the clock. It was 2 in the morning

"I'm craving for steamed fish" she said while looking at me innocently.

"Where the hell will I get steamed fish at 2am?" I said

"But I wanted to eat it so bad"

I sighed in frustration and went to search for steamed fish. This happens whole the time. So I finally decided to hire a chef. Thank god for him and now I can finally sleep well without any disturbance.

Claudia is now 6 months pregnant and we went to hospital to know about the gender.

"So?" I ask the doctor who is scanning her belly.

"Its a girl"

" Yes!!, we are gonna have a baby princess" I said in excitement although I was hoping for a baby boy. We can have one later on. For now Im gonna love and pamper my baby girl.

"Ohh I knew it" Claudia said while crying in happiness.

Afterwards we went to Charmaine and Brandon's baby christening and naming ceremony. Claudia and I are the baby's godparents.

I can see how Charmaine changed a lot. She is so protective of her baby and very loving to Brandon. I am happy for her in fact.

A day after knowing the gender. I invited everyone for dinner to announce the gender.

Everyone came. Even ruby, akshaya, andrea, leilani and Charmaine.

"Everyone, gather up"I said while holding claudia's hands."so I gathered everyone tonight to announce something special that we all have been waiting for"

Everyone remained silent to hear what am I about to say.

"So everyone know that claudia and I are gonna be having a beautiful baby soon and-"

"Its a girl everyone!!!" Claudia cut me off.

"Claudia!" I said in annoyance while placing my hands on my forehead.

"You are taking  to long to announce" She complained.

Everyone laughed and congrats claudia and I.

"A princess is on the way" dad said while giving a toast.

Dad came to talk to me. He usually calls me by giving a hands signs and sometimes I don't even understand what he is trying to do "Hey bud" he said while punching my shoulder.

"You see Joshy, you are gonna be a dad now. I remember how I took care  the both of you.  you were never a trouble to me when you were little. You are a boy and I raised you easily but when it comes to Julia. It was kinda challenge for me. Your mom always scold me for teasing Julia. She is really sensitive, she'd cry for the smallest thing."

Dad was talking about how he raised Julia and I. Its been a while since we have chit chat and its nice how he share his experience and our family stories. We usually just talk about bussiness and work. This is a nice feeling, having a dad and son bonding.

Elly and Ruby suddenly made an announcement too by gathering everyone.

"Guys, since everyone is all gathered around I wanted to give an announcement too, My bro Joshua wouldn't mind of course" he said while winking at me and I knew what he is gonna announce.

"So...." Ellayah hesitate in excitement.

"We're engaged" Ruby said while showing her ring to everyone.

We were all in surprise. Ruby is such a nice girl for Joshua. She had also quit her job. I can never get another Ruby. She is smart and knows everything without explanation. My new assistant sucks. She is pissing me off. I'm thinking of hiring a new one.

"Congratulations bro" I said while hugging Ellayah.

"Ruby! You left me alone at the office" I said teasing her.

"Oh come on, you can get a better assistant" she said while giggling

"When is the due date " Elly asked

"May 3 is the expected time" I said

"Are you more to nervous or excited?" Ruby asked

"Both?" I said. I am nervous because Claudia is really fragile. I don't know what I'd do if she is in hurt and at the same time, I'm really excited for the baby.
