Chapter fifteen

Wednesday.                                                                3:57 a.m.

I'm not able to sleep. I honestly can't believe that Luke called me a mere girl. I mean, what am I? A slut?

I don't know why but I immediately ended the call the minute he called me that. Had I spoken to him for another minute, I would've broken down.

I'm not able to shed even a single tear. Is it because I'm stubborn? Or is it because I'm weak? Or is it because I'm both weak and stubborn?

Ughhhh! I don't even know what I'm writing right now. I don't even know what I'm feeling right now.

What has happened to him? He was so nice and his normal self till our winter break and now he's acting all possessive about me?

On top of that, he has the guts to text me saying that Calvin broke the "bro-code" by hanging out with me and its should always be like "bros-before-hoes" kinda thing.

What a load of bullshit. Did he learn that from How I Met Your Mother?

If he has, then he doesn't know that its all in the TV show and not in my life.....I never follow such utter BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!

Breaking a bro-code? Is that you're really worried about, Luke?

Then, have it your way. I'm not even gonna utter a word to you from now on.

I scribbled in my dairy and closed it, trying to return to my bed, which I wasn't able to do.

"Why do you have bags under your eyes? Are you okay, Carmen?" Cara asked me, as I made my way to my seat.

"I'm okay, Jones." I muttered, not being able to speak out loud due to my absolute zero energy.

"Something is definitely wrong. Tell me what it is?" She pleaded.

Cara was that one person from whom I couldn't hide anything. So I told her everything and she was stupefied to hear that Luke spoke to me that way.

Lunch. Ugh! How would I tell Calvin that I won't have lunch with him? How would I tell him to go have fun with his "guy" friends?

Before I could think of an excuse, Calvin stood in front of me, grinning at me.

The moment I lifted my head up and he eyed my face, his heart melting grin faded and concern etched his face.

"What's wrong, Caramel? You okay?" He spoke softly, to which my heart melted into a puddle.

How perfect could this guy be?

"I'm fine, Cal. Really. Go have lunch with your guy friends. Don't ever break the damn bro-code." I stated emotionlessly.

He stared at me warily before he let despair replace his concern etched face.

"Now go, Cal. I don't want you to be the bad guy in their eyes." I said and broke the eye contact.

"I don't know what you mean, but we're definitely going to talk about this. Take care." He strongly spat out those words, as if he was going to get justice about this.

And he walked away.

"What's up, girl?" Ava came and sat in front of me and Cara.

Cara had told her everything and I was totally okay with her knowing about it.
